They came with the bike. I really like them but don't know the name brand or anything. I believe the end weights are part of the mirror mount, they are a combo deal...
  2. Wow great summary! Thanks so much!! I now see that indeed 2" pegs would be impossible to shift/brake. You've given me the direction I needed!! I will use your measurments when I do my pegs in a few weeks.

  5. So the end result will be a hard tank pad painted to look like this (my photoshop work): (Note: the flag is on backwards lol, it will be painted correctly sitting on the bike
  6. I'm not a fan of the tank pad on the older Sports. They just look out of place! So I was playing around looking at some pics and saw a V11 with a cool pad and started reading up. After learning how to pull the pad (from here) I laid some glass and am in the process of working it down to fit. I'm also going to tighten up the edges for a little better fit on the tank. Work in progress, stay tuned:
  7. Thanks!! Keep me updated once you're done. Post here or a new thread with pics of the final product. I'd be happy with 1", just saw 2 and thought that would be better! lol.
  8. I am going to order a set of pegs, I've read about the 1" Buell Ulysses drop pegs that people have used and was going to get them but as I was looking I saw there is 2" drop pegs out there: http://www.ebay.com/itm/190595425416?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 I'm 6' with a size 12 shoe. I could use the room for sure and the distance to the controls won't affect me I don't think. What do you guys think about going 2" instead of 1"? Any adverse effects? I do not ride very hard/aggressive so I don't expect to drag the pegs or anything..
  9. I'm not new here although this may be my first post. Little history: I bought a Jackal in 2000 and did a little mod work to it. After a few years I was forced to sell it. I really wanted the V11 sport but at that time just couldn't afford it so I ended up with the Jackal. Basically ever since I sold that bike I have always wanted back on a Guzzi, fortunately I ran across the is V11 (see pic) was exactly what I wanted from the start! So 11 years later I now have one from a ebay find. But honestly you'd never know it was that old, it was kept in amazing condition by the previous owner! So I'm ready to do a little tweaking and making it my own. Nothing crazy but I'm going to convert it to handlebars and put pod filters and open up the middle of the bike. Also going to paint the swing arm red to match the frame. About it.. BTW can anyone identify the cans? No name badge. They look nice but are so quiet, prob more so than stock!
