  1. It's a shame this thread has wandered away from the original idea of changing the spring for a pull spring, my mate has just bought a Cafe Sport that has had no less than 3 spring failures in it's life, as he intends doing some European trips this year I suggested that I convert it to a pull spring so I''ll let you know how I get on, I've replaced a few stock springs over the years but not done the conversion yet, as far as I'm concerned the only permanent fix is a pull spring
  2. Just listed a load of unwanted V11 parts on Ebay.co.uk, username...steves1255 more available just ask, sorry only shipping to Europe https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Moto-Guzzi-V11-Exhaust-Cross-Over/253317165522?hash=item3afae131d2:g:ZcsAAOSwUYNaNVXw
  3. Sorry had to relist due to error, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253317165522?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Moto-Guzzi-V11-Rack/253317165385?hash=item3afae13149:g:xdUAAOSwGwlaNVdQ
  4. Listed on Ebay UK
  5. There's not really anything inside the stock crossover to gut, I bought a Mistral item a few years ago but it didn't fit very well, I am running the stock item on my Nero with open Delkevic silencers and it goes well, aftermarket crossover will make more noise, btw my mate has bought an 05 Cafe Sport for £4k if this helps to value yours but thanks for the offer
  6. Thanks Craig but your price is a bit strong for him
  7. A mate is looking for a V11 anyone selling in the UK ? Sorted now he's bought an 05 Cafe Sport
  8. 2014 1200 Sport Rosso Corsa 8v with the all important roller tappet upgrade, listed on Ebay UK, £5500 with lots of extras, ps I'm keeping my V11 Nero Corsa !! 07976 849955

    MPH Speedo

Mine was registered in the UK with it's KPH speedo, just a thought
  10. I assume you've checked the tyre pressures, I sold a Scura to a mate and shortly after he had some frightening handling which turned out to be a faulty steering damper, easy to remove it and rule it out

    MPH Speedo

Good luck with finding an ITI speedo that still works, I've just bought a Nero Corsa that was imported from Italy 5 years ago and it still had it's KPH speedo after 5 UK MOTs, I had a broken MPH speedo in stock so I cut it open and swapped the MPH face over, job done or you could just get an overlay sticker
  12. Clipon clamp size is 54mm
  13. You can still post pics direct to the site just resize them to 200kb then click on the thumbnail and it gets bigger
  14. 2004 Nero Corsa UK
  15. The bike you are buying has been converted to fork mounted headlamp, fairing and clocks probably because clipons would foul the original frame mounted ones, you can tell it has fork mounted kit because the clocks and fairing are turning with the steering, the cafe sport should have all this mounted to the frame on a cast aluminium bracket
  16. Great pics but is there a reason why you didn't just use the existing pin on the arm to hook the spring on to?
  17. And you would never be able to stop cos it's got no side stand !
  18. Work in progress now has a frame mounted headlamp
  19. I got my 45 degree bends from a UK seller on Ebay so probably not much use in the US, to fit those Leos get 48mm o/d and sleeve them with a short length of slotted 50mm o/d , the Delkevics are stock 50mm inlets, 50.8mm to be exact which is 2" in old money, your Leos should be 2" inlet i/d, just noticed that the Leos have spring hooks so you will need to slot the pipe and use clamps but make sure they are 50.8mm inlets first
  20. Here's the bike with the new Delkevics fitted, great sound without the baffles installed, £89 each and available in the US I think
  21. I've never been able to grease the front uj without removing the swingarm, it's only 3 more bolts and it's off
  22. Apparently if you have a spare spring under the seat it will never break, worked for me so far!
  23. As you can see from the photo 45 degrees works fine
  24. I've built a few V11 based cafe racer projects and thought I would pass on my solution to the hard to find and expensive after market exhaust options, the problem is finding the link pipes to fit a pair of slip on silencers, so I buy 45 degree mandrel s/s bends, 48mm o/d will fit inside the stock crossover then you need to sleeve it up to 50mm for most silencer inlets, or have the silencer made with 48mm inlets, alternatively buy the 45 degree bends at 54mm o/d and these will fit outside the stock crossover outlets, I've just ordered a pair of Delkevic s/s silencers 450mm long for £180 plus the link pipes are about £15 each from ebay, once you have fitted the 45 degree link pipes you can fit anything you want, the photo is a pair of cheap chinese s/s silencers
  25. Regarding the clutch slip have you checked that there is free play in the lever, the lever has an adjuster in it, no clearance will wear the plates so it may be too late but it's a simple check
