  1. It's to cover the gap where the light switch was on early bikes Stew, your 04 should be the same with no switch
  2. I was going to suggest that the new plates were too thick, that would give you the problem, but I've never heard of it before, just done one myself with plates from Gutsibits
  3. I have fitted a 180 to the early narrow wheel that should have a 170 and all it does is distort the tread profile,The 190 will work but the tread area will be pulled around by the narrow wheel so you will never get near the edge of the tread, it should clear the drive shaft but check it for clearance, if it's free use it.

  5. Ventura kit for a V11, L brackets, Sport rack and Pack rack all in good used condition, I've got this kit fitted to my Nero and it works well, not a stock item in the UK so has to be made to order from New Zealand taking up to 10 weeks, £150 plus shipping
  6. I removed this from an 02 that I restored over the winter as I put the bike back to stock exhaust and airbox, complete with USB cable, it will already have a V11 map installed, £100 inc postage in the UK

    Insurance

Just renewed mine with Bennetts £70
  8. I'm thinking of going the same way although I seem to have the only fully working ITI speedo left but for how long? I spoke to Moore Speed Racing last week and he asked me to email my requirements but they haven't got back to me yet, I was looking at the Swift speedo and tach as they do a pulse unit that replaces the speedo cable
  9. 2004 Cafe Sport for sale in the UK, Ti exhaust and standard silencers and hangers, Stucchi carbon fibre bellypan, any offers or part exchange considered, 07976849955

  11. I've just made an enquiry about Swift Crono clocks they are UK made and come with a sensor which does away with the cable, my ITI speedo still actually works but they look like cheap crap,
  12. That's about it Valentino, I've done away with the fuse but if you did that and your bike went up in flames I would never forgive myself
  13. http://www.gutsibits.co.uk/pr/TheShop/index.php?f=e&Shnew=1&Model=1&ModelName=1100+Sport%2C+V11&Cat=TOA&CatName=Tools Here's a link to the Gutsibits page, centering tool and hub nut tool
  14. You need a special socket to remove and replace the hub nut and don't forget the lock washer tab before undoing it there's a special tool to hold the gearbox shaft but I managed without it, I used a rattle gun but you can hold it with the old clutch plate if you don't have one
  15. Loosen the big nuts then wind out the pivot pins with an allen key then the swingarm will fall out
  16. That's it really, take out the rear torque arm bolt and slide the bevel box off, remove the rear shock bolt, while it's off grease the front UJ, when refitting the pivot pins get them even each side, tighten them finger tight up to the bearings so there's no side play in the swingarm
  17. I've never had this problem but I guess the fluid is either going into the gearbox or the bell housing, whatever it looks like you need a new slave cylinder or the seal if you can get one, as far as getting at it is concerned I think I would remove the swingarm, if you already have the wheel out its just the shock bolt and the two swingarm pivots.
  18. A mate's Scura has just started doing that and we can't find an obvious reason for it, the battery stays charged ok, we did notice that the red light goes out at idle when the headlight is on, just noticed your bike has a red front subframe from an earlier model any idea why? maybe they ran out of black ones that day, makes it unique
  19. I tried Valpolini through Motomecca and was told it was unavailable but they may be worth a try directly, probably plenty £££££
  20. You will need the clutch alignment tool and the special socket to remove and refit the hub, there's tools for holding the flywheel and hub but you can manage without these.
  21. Simon, Just done this on a Scura, also a single plate clutch, the single friction plate is no longer available so we replaced it with a used twin plate assembly with new plates, you will need the flywheel and all the clutch parts inc a new spline hub, we could not find a new hub in the UK so got one from Teo Lamers, all the parts new come to about £1500, Gutsibits have got a complete used clutch for £380 plus £90 for new plates, we removed the engine and left the gearbox in place, if you need any more info just ask we were told that the Ram clutch is not available, you don't need the alignment tool to take it apart but you need it to assemble the new twin plater
  22. Yes the old hub was 15mm splines and the new one is 25mm
  23. Scura is back together now, the deeper clutch hub was not available in the UK, Teo Lamers had one, £130 part number 04211600
  24. Nigel the V11 has 54mm forks at the clamps, Marzocchi and Ohlins, I am pretty sure the Ohlins from an Aprilia are smaller diameter, I have not yet found any 54mm Ohlins forks from another bike but I could be proved wrong
