  1. Well, we're back. Unleashing successfully prevented. Not so good news on JRT. He took a fancy to a cuckoo clock but was rebuffed. He's a broken man.
  2. You mean inside the tank? The internal pipe is punctured, inside the tank – and so it leaks as you fill the tank? I didn't quite get what you were talking about, when you talked about prying the pipes off. I think that you mean the moulded pipe inside the tank. White / natuarl colour? It's an integral part of the tank mould and it doesn't come off. It's bad news if it's punctured, but not a disaster. If it were me, I would have a go at melting the plastic back together – if it's a small puncture. It'd try it carefully on a little bit first to see if it would work. There are epoxys that are meant to be suitable for fuel tanks, so one of those could be tried too, or as well as the melt, though I don't know how well it would adhere to that plastic (some form of nylon?). The fall-back would be to block-off the tube outlet, where it comes out the bottom of the tank. Then the puncture doesn't matter. Screw a suitable bolt into the outlet and seal it. You don't need that stuff that the American bikes come with, do you? The Euro bikes don't have anything at all connected to the outlet. As long as you have the other tube acting as an overflow drain, you should be ok.
  3. Are you overfilling?
  4. A problem with tyres! Have you worn those NEW tyres out already? Borrow Guzbun's spare wheels. Take Guzzbun's bike. Get Martin to carry you over. Fit Stradas, for goodness sakes. You know it makes sense. The is – this weekend anyway. Can't be bad next weekend: can it?

    TT TV

MB, Grider etc. TT preview on BBC1 NI just after midnight tonight. _________ Well it's over now. There were some cracker pictures. Roadracing camera work is getting better & better. There's a whole week of programmes next week.
  6. Ok I admit it this my red one
  7. Hey ~Van
  8. Is there something still wrong with the assembly? Can you take it apart and check or is it now permanently glued? It is a bit of a dodgy device, but I found it to work ok after being tied together so that it wouldn't self-disintegrate again.
  9. Please Martin. When you're a hole, stop digging.
  10. I see that Tenni owners are being certified.
  11. No more Mr Fatboy! You won't look the same on the Ducati in your sleveless vest and bandana.

Are you carrying all Guzzbuns goods and chattels then? Good man yourself.
  13. It's not recommended. Not good for the machine's ECU brain.
  14. There'll be plenty at the Erin. Bring a spanner. er, just officer
  15. What other bikes have a big 'turbine fan' style end to a single left side exhaust can? I saw one today, between traffic, in a different lane and going in a different direction, so it was only a fleeting glimpse. The thing that caught my attention was the radially finned end of the can. It can't have been a red Griso, out on my road, in N.I. – surely not?

    hehehe that's the spirit
  17. Give 'em a blast with your horn. That'll make the dozy critters shift out of your way.
  18. My sag is quite good too. I had it repainted and it looks splendid.
  19. Some off-street parking but need to arrange in advance, if I remember right.
  20. My brake fluid is good, calipers / pistons well maintained and rotor in good condition.
  21. I see from a previous post that new EBC front pads that I fitted were the same thickness, new, as OE Brembos with 6,000 miles on them (4mm). Apparently Ferodo Platinums are 6mm, so maybe Brembos are 6mm when new too. From previous post, Guzzirider is getting 3,000 miles on rear pads, but they are thinner Carbon Lorraine EBCs. 10,000 miles for front?
  22. It has sometimes been commented on here, that US V.11s often seem to be ridden in very different conditions and on very different types of roads and perhaps in different styles to British / Irish road & riding conditions. I'd guess that a lot of people in UK are getting about 6,000m on OE pads. Though, some people have claimed that they never use their rear brakes. Martin Barrett's rule of thumb is a new set of brake pads needed at every tyre change. So: 5 - 6,000 miles? Seems about right.
  23. 5,600 miles before OEM totally worn away. Replaced with EBC FA47, about £12
  24. When in England with family, we use stay in Travelodge. You could try that?? Us & children in room. http://www.travelodge.co.uk/find_a_hotel/r...Dublin&id=28313
  25. I've stayed at the Townhouse a few times, but with a deal on the price. You could try contacting them and asking if they can do it any cheaper as it's been recommended. There are loads of other (and cheaper) places in Gardiner Street. Car parking could be an issue. Ask if they can give you a parking space. Dublin has been notorious for car crime. Not sure what exactly that's like now. Some sites: http://www.townhouseofdublin.com/ http://www.hostels.com/en/ie.le.du.html http://www.travellerspoint.com/hostels-en-ci-372.html http://www.hoteldirect.co.uk/dublin/ http://www.hoteldirect.co.uk/webapp/hoteld...in&currency=gbp Someone else may be able to recommend cheaper accommodation, maybe B&B, outside the City.
