well...it's various things – like how it's used, under what conditions and I would say that time has something to do with oil changes too. There's not just virgin oil in the oil. There's metal, muck, maybe water (depending upon which oil it is). I'd prefer to tip that out every now and again. Given what came out with the fork oil, I'd change it more often rather than less often – for the sake of a few pounds, well, £20 or £30 pounds or whatever that Ohlins stuff was.

Hi Guy there's only one Troon crossing – at 0715. If I get it, I guess I'll be at Erskine Bridge around about the time that you're leaving home, 10.30. That'll give me some time for looking at nice mountainy stuff and haggis hunting on the way north. Depending on success with the haggis, or otherwise, you may catch up somewhere. The spacer in rear wheel, between bearings, could be too short. Seems to have been a common 2002 problem. You could at least check the rear wheel bearings (or get mechanic to check them) to see it there is too much wear – a sign of the spacer being too short.
