1. Hey have you got an exhaust as fanticastic as this? Do you hang with cool dudes like this? Cool fandudeantic as Hairypony would have said in his café days.
2. No not Shes: it's Serge. You've nearly got it. Are you Chinese? And he's not blind I tell you.
3. funny you should say that, as earlier I was thinking that it may be an Italian chopper now you've made me go and post it. Nice footwear.
4. No, your memory is leaking all over your shoes. The previous post was about Metzlers. Both bikes have Metz on 'em. But really, if Baldi is going to go around stuffing it to the Japs, then he ought to do it with the full cheeky irony of doing it with Japanese boots on.
5. just in time to see the BSB races on telly.
6. Hmmm.. could be anything then. Are you sure it's not a red Honda? What with your eyesight and all, you could have made a slight mistake...
7. No, no. That's not a woman. That's Serge. He's not blind: he's only resting his eyes (too much shiny silver). And he appears to have a woman with him.
8. ...yes it does: it's tomorrow now and that wet stuff is headed your way Today's gonna be a dry May Day here
9. New BT-002s for road and track. The local paper's bike journalist has been at a Bridgestone demonstration at Ascari where Jeremy McWilliams has been demonstarting the circuit for the journalists and apparently he genuinely speaks highly of the tyres and says he failed to get the Racing Street tyres to slide or move. Presumably other mags are now reporting on the Bridgestone Racing Street BT-002 tyres. These are adapted from the DOT race-only BT-002 tyres. The front has a dual compound. Blurb: "Race-bred performance for street superbikes Bridgestone’s Battlax BT-002 Racing Street series is a new-generation of MotoGP-inspired hypersport tyres designed to provide outstanding street and track day performance for high-powered bikes of 600 cc and above. Derived from the BT-002 homologated full-race range, the Z-rated Racing Street front/rear pairing delivers outstanding contact feel and precise cornering ability. Its main adaptation for practical road use lies in the selection of tread compounds that combine long-life durability with sure-footed response under wide-ranging surface and weather conditions. Dual-tread construction of the front tyre, with a medium compound in the centre and a soft grade in the shoulder area provides high grip while retaining light steering. ?A steel Mono Spiral Belt (MSB) comprising a continuous single cord wrapped around the circumference of the tyre in order to eliminate seams, joints and the overlapping of belts, reduces weight compared with conventional multi-cross belt construction. It nevertheless provides greater stability by minimising internal heat generation. ...?At the rear, a silica-rich compound again enhances grip. The profile and tread pattern are adopted directly from the BT-002 race tyre. A large, flat crown radius brings smooth and linear turn-in characteristics, while the tread ensures straight-line drive stability, with optimal distribution of the grooves aiding middle to large camber cornering. The Battlax BT-002 Racing Street series is produced in three sizes: 120/70ZR17 (58W) TL (front), 180/55ZR17 (73W) TL and 190/50ZR17 (73W) TL (rear). and Superbike magazine Tyre: Tire: Tired:
10. It's released tomorrow scratch, scratch, squawk
11. Zigilo 948cc?
12. OK, I've just taken the tank off. 'Course, soon as I did that, the rain came on so I'm back in the house again. The main breather is connected as normal. The pipe closest to steering head has been capped though. So both that and the small return pipe on the crankcase were blocked off. The only two vent pipes then, were the main breather to frame and a hose from that cross-frame pipe, which was extended down by the gear lever area and was resposible for blowing oil over the rear end. He nearly might as well have just routed the big breather straight to atmosphere and saved any water from gathering in the frame! I think there's an octopus in there – it doesn't want to come out. When the rain stops (tomorrow?) I'll connect it up as it should be. I suppose it would be interesting to put a collector bottle on the vent from the top of the frame tube, just to see what comes out there. Does it really work that the oil mostly runs back down into the case and the water vapour vents up and out from the top tube, or in reality is it the same mixture of stuff that goes both ways? I took one of the rocker covers off, expecting to see emulsion in there. There wasn't any.
13. It's Poetry in bold defiance of the designation of this thread to the visual arts only
14. Yep, thanks Gary. If I go, I think I'll go for the Larne - Troon crossing. Have you used it? Does it make much odds, compared to Cairnryan? The Belfast crossing would be much handier, but it's always been expensive.
15. An old nag? On steroids?
16. For some reason, this shorter journey is always more expensive. I'm looking at it for Spaen Bridge and it's showing £100 to cross the wee bit of water.
17. See big scenery, but have a holiday and relax...? You're going to be on the move, non-stop, morning to night. I'm not saying that it's a bad idea, just that it's a long (and a pressurised?) journey – certainly a challenge.
18. Martin, your route is quite looney. Guy, are you riding up with a horde, or solo?
19. I had to fire up IE to see the pics. It looks good. What about the exhaust hangers? You might have said before, I can't remember. Did you make them or what are they?
20. umm accidents do happen
21. No. 87585 Well, obviously I meant everyone 'cept for JR and er.. hairypony. Everyone knows that.
22. Points? What points? There's no such thing.
23. I only ask because as it's 'who you know' that counts, then if you don't know any Mods, then you better start working at it, sending birthday cards and the like – if you want to get on in the world of Guzzidom. Practice on JRT and see how it goes.
24. Are you sure? ................ 87555 Someone dodgy who doesn't know wot's wot, wrote it – he couldn't be a member of this forum. Besides, everyone on here is under 80 years old, aren't they?
