  1. A pony? Is it hairy?
  2. As if his Alien Report isn't fame enough :!: Hang on. Maybe that's how they invented the motoscikle! Alien technology? Roper - Rossi: same difference, same ancestory obviously. So after sending The Bike, they've now sent A Rider? What can it all mean?
  3. Isn't it: Gearbox .85L Rear drive .37L
  4. doesn't matter. It's not what you know – it's who you know. Never mind about big blue Smurfs. Do you know any Moderators?
  5. So none of you were getting full last weekend. It's not like you... Are you all saving it for the rally? BTW... you work in banking, eh?
  6. She swallowed the core ball, or the bacon, or both.

  8. Talking to me? You've no idea how much I would love to do this. Freeing the time is the big (pig) problem. Is it the sort of thing that can be turned-up-at, or arranged at last minute? Does it have to be booked? Is anyone camping? Bacon sarnies?
  9. Try these for info on bearing removal and more besides. Rear wheel bearings, numbers etc and spacer This thread! http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5537 Bearing removal http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...topic=4923&st=0 http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5601&hl= http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4012&hl= http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=808&hl= Bearing and circlip removal http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2433&hl= Needle roller http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6914&hl= http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5058 More on: Spacer http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5711&hl= Front wheel bearings http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5680&hl= http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2429&hl= Related: bearings and rear brake problem http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2732&hl= http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2861&hl=
  10. There are discussions somewhere about people experiencing different measurements between their odometers and their trip meters and bizarre theories that parts have been mixed up and some mph clocks give kph readings. As far as I remember, the clock comes out ok, but you won't be able to get at anything without prying the metal bevel lip and removing the glass. The hard bit will be getting it back together.
  11. :!: :!: I couldn't see how you knew the bearing was dry and rusty. That explains it! The accepted theory is that the spacer tube (which you refer to) is often too short and and the resulting lack of support leads to early disintegration of the ballbearing. Solution is to add a 1mm (or thereabouts) shim when you replace the bearings or else get a properly sized spacer. I made a shim. I've had a new spacer on order for about 6 months and there's still no sign of it arriving. Of course yours may be ok, but you should measure your hub and your spacer dimensions to check. Edit: I see DL has already posted about the spacer Edit 2: This thread has pages and pages on the spacer. Oh
  12. Quick reply – yes bearings tap out. There is definitely info here. I'll give fuller reply or find the links later when I get a bit of time. Good luck. PS – I take it then that you mean the surface just looks rusty? Or did you mean that the axle is dry and rusty on the surface?
  13. Try a search as there are a number of posts with some info on this, including a couple of recent ones. It will still be interesting to see a collection of set-up statistics here, though as Baldini says, it will only be a ball-park reference, even if rider weights are fairly similar.
  14. He he. Very good. Those carefree, frolicsome Ruskies. Up to their armpits in radioactive sludge.
  15. There are a number of threads with info, tips & tricks concerning removal of the bearings. See if they turn up in a search & if not, I'm sure someone will find them quickly enough. But what do you mean about a dry and rusted bearing on the brake side? The wheel bearing? The wheel bearings are fairly easy to get out. It's the little roller bearing on the other side that can be a real pain and it's usually the one that is dry and rusty.
  16. Requests for a poetry forum should be directed to the Moth Forum. This thread is strictly concerned with visual art.
  17. Hovering, jiving, hipping and hopping...we'll be doing the lot if the recent MG Club committee's warm-up-to-rally-season meet is anything to judge by. Social Sec. Bob's dressed smartly, as ever. Which one is hairypony?
  18. Well put sir. An excellent critique and commentary. Youu needed to say no more. But if you have to say more, you could do no better than refer to the jello city. What's the link again?
  19. Don't you know art when you see it? It's the John Hinde postcard influence even though it, in fact, looks nothing like this.
  20. It's definitely nice. Very enjoyable. The jets have been chopped and changed. As far as I know, it was run as a 950 for a lot of its life. The previous owner put the 850 barrels back on. It always has to be started with the choke on, even when warm. It was rebuilt after a crash using another Mklll frame and the Vehicle Licencing people were told too much, so unfortunately it has a 'Q' plate now, instead of the original reg.no.
  21. In honour of Baldini 'Stuffing It to the Japs', I'll do wot he sez and post a Tonti pic. Need to sort through some pics that I took a few days ago – here's one for now and there are a couple more here.
  22. Phew! That's a help. So it is a breather return? I haven't inspected this with the tank off and clearly need to do so. As far as I could tell, by feel, the small diameter hose that I refered to came out from a cross-pipe outlet. So it looks like I did the right thing by connecting it to the small pipe. I guess that the frame isn't full of oil – because although the return inlet pipe wasn't blocked off, the cross-piece hose wasn't connected to it and wasn't blocked and so blew the oil out...? I'll have to check the whole thing to see what else has been done and why there is still oil being released.
  23. Thanks Martin I can't see it, as I can't enlarge the thumbnail. Seems like this oil loss is 'just what happens' then? If you get a chance to upload the pic to another server, you could post the link or show the enlarged pic via the link. Cheers
  24. Perhaps you could expand and explain?
  25. I didn't use the gibberish-code from a proper quiz pic – I can't remember which pic I took it from, but the answer was in the gibberish, a few lines up from the bottom: rM¨¼»m`AmjN}7;??ÄÚ5ÈxïbòþlbKeqŒ|þ•«¥ØøCU»|ß[ÈAȉíŒXÊ󫸒×dB .npÇ•ÏEü±š‚2Š¨w°‘Ž2§}iÞ]½Þ¨õ»Û(Š}?tIá$?:Þ$l/Ÿ6zö¨¡¼¶²?í.ì$ŽÝXÄŠFÒ¼÷O{»i$c:ðLhã?^ÕÕi·zÁ?¤}J]Ê7nF=é6Þÿ˜ãʶå Honda 50
