  1. Well – do you want to set-up a booth at the Erin and take bookings? I'm sure that Big Bob and the Beardies would be pleased to accommodate. As far as I know, a rubber chicken is the only tool required, at a pinch. I think that there could be good passing trade. A crowd of BMW riders came through last year. And with your reputation...
  2. I was wondering if these can be used ok in the older bikes, instead of a monster lead acid? After being used to the V.11 battery, the old-type 30Ah lead-acid is huge, I don't remember ever having a bike battery that big before. I had to get one as the lash-up of 2 smaller batteries didn't come close to cranking an 850.
  3. See there's another Roper write-up on Widguzzi. I copied the link, here. JRT has found it very useful. 'It explains a lot, of what I couldn't explain', he said. 'I reckon I know where I got my ointment from now' he added, mysteriously.
  4. Changed my mind. I favour this
  5. This sorta thing has been shown plenty of times before and I'm inclined to favour it, even if the VW does come with a 3' wide back tyre. This neatly links back to the Quiz Forum with Trabant and Fiat engines, but in reverse.
  6. The VW doesn't appear to do the leaning thang.
  7. why stop with the front fender...
  8. Ridiculous. What made you say that?
  9. mm Problem now is, where did I put it?
  10. and there's this little monkey.
  11. Yes of course. Lovely Trabant. Didn't I mention that anyone called Mike isn't eligible to enter this quiz? Perhaps not, so you're the worthy winner. Now, what did they do with the cheeky little Fiat 500 engine?
  12. Are you taking wild guesses now? This is the Cub Scout sign
  13. I can confirm that the correct answer has now been given, unfortunately not by me. (What was the question?)
  14. a V4 Griso, lets say 2.5L?
  15. Didn't you read my other post on that BJ? Have you actually found it to be cheaper? Every time that I have tried it – 'the deal' has been more expensive. Maybe it works from the South. I found before that paying through the South in Euros gave a much better deal than paying from the North in Great British Pounds.
  16. Have you seen the Flash movie of the 3-wheel leaning scoot on Piaggio site?
  17. Condemn the roads and close them for major repair...?
  18. To stop you scrambling your heads over that other scrambler, try this for light relief. I've posted the picture before , but I don't think that it was a quiz question. 2 fairly easy parts to the quiz 1) what is the frame 2) what is the engine and 3) if you know that, then you can say where the engine more normally resided...
  19. How come you MG insiders haven't told us about this yet? Maybe it was mentioned when I was 'away'? –> "2007 Moto Guzzi Griso 850 Moto Guzzi is rumoured to have made the Griso transformation also on the Breva 750. Whilst the Griso 1100 is based on the Breva 1100 – the new Griso will get a big-bore version of the Breva 750 engine. Moto Guzzi was not willing to comment at this point. Closer to EICMA 2006 in Milan we will know more." At this rate, there'll be a 125 Cali Chopper next!
  20. If only. Can someone tell me if I get the point if I beat hairypony to the correct answer. Quickly please. Time is running out!
  21. That's another name for the Tenni Forum, I believe.
  22. ...the 9th June....?
  23. Crikey. What price is a ferry ticket to Scotland on...
  24. No it's in the calendar and I found this news item from last year: " Plans in place for new Ulster Road Race (09/08/05) A meeting will be held in the Working Mans club, Ballynakelly, County Tyrone on August 16th, at 8PM where it is hoped an organising body can be formed to run a new real road race in Northern Ireland. A new road race circuit in the Bush area, has been recently inspected by the MCUI Safety Committee, and has been given approval. With the Carrowdore and Temple Road Races falling by the way side in recent years, and the Dundrod 150 merging with the Ulster Grand Prix to form the Bike Week, race fans in the North of Ireland only have five individual events to look forward to at present. Meanwhile, the sport continues to flourish in the South of Ireland, with recent additions to the calendar including Athea and Faugheen plus a new race, known as the Ballybunion Road Race expected to take place near Tralee later this year, on top of the five existing events in the South! Whilst it is encouraging to see such enthusiasm for our sport with willing volunteers prepared to run events all across the Emerald Isle, there are some people who are beginning to think that there are now too many races in the season and the old adage of quality over quantity should be adhered to." I haven't been able to see the video yet as that dreadful media player keeps stalling. Is no one else having that problem? The farthest I get is the second corner. Edit: seen it at last, on nth attempt. Lummie. Tight wee course right 'nuff. Wonder will they stop the oncoming traffic on the day of the event?
  25. !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe Paul has got something there!!!!!!!!!!!! oh boy If he's right, he deserves 10 Quiz points for spotting that the story did seem a bit fishy...
