  1. (Hmm. The pictures seem to have gone from the original post ) anyway How have you been doing with the V.11 training, Antonio? Tucker thinks that it's time for a reminder, in case you're letting things slip. So here's more Tips And Secrets To Use In Your Everyday Bike Mechanicing, That Can Cut V.11 Training Time By Up To 67% It is really very simple. If you're not using the right V.11 mechanicing techniques, you're probably wasting hundreds of hours per year(on this Forum alone, never mind on your bike). Not to mention missing out on some of the joys of owning a well trained V.11. Imagine being able to take your V.11 to Starbuck's Coffee and place him in a "down-stay" while you go in and have a cup of java. And know that he'll still be there when you come back! Send me a large bag of and in return I'll forward a copy of Tucker's BiG Book of V.11 Special Secrets For Simple Mechanics. The stuff in Tech Topics is all very well, but why make things hard for yourself? You can easily reduce your fettling time by more than 60%, and still achieve maximum results. Here's a small sample of some time-saving secrets you'll learn for your everyday Guzzi mechanicing: • How to speed up mechanicing results by taking advantage of your V.11's instincts • An amazingly simple way to get fast results using your V.11's "shaft drive" • The right way to use food in your training program (hint: don't use food as a bribe!) • Insider secrets on how to easily use a 30 foot long line for off-leash training • The top 4 ways to communicate with your V.11 • Discover the most important difference between the pinch collar, the choke chain and the shaftie bevel box • What is V.11 training, and how do you really get quick results • How to use vocal tonation and voice inflection to get the most out of your V.11 Have a nice day.
  2. Excellent, at last, something that I can manage to paint on my tank hey - it might even work in 'fuzzy felt'
  3. Not at the moment
  4. probably, or not. Everytime you cross the border all that stuff gets messed up anyway. It's bad enough when the clocks go back each year, but having to wind them back a century when you hit the Newry/Dundalk area... Buy a big ball of string and a yardstick
  5. Hmmm. If you look at it in a mirror while listening to the Beatles' White Album it seems to say, "buy more Hondas, buy more Hondas, buy more Hondas, buy more Hondas...."
  6. Let me know if you go ahead with this. If you go to Lurgan I'd like to drop in, of course. I don't know anything about who actually does the dyno work: I'm just assuming that with Phil's experience as a champion road racer etc his guys should be doing good work. There was some talk of him taking on Moto Guzzi dealership a couple of years ago, but when I asked him about it, he backed away from the idea. (So obviously his judgment is sound.)
  7. I'm thinking that Phillip McCallen's shop should be a safe bet. They do Ohlin's as well.although there is someone more local to me that I'll check out for that, sometime. As you've already got some info from Dublin, why don't you compare with BMcC? Would you consider a trip to Lurgan? Phillip McCallen Motorcycles Ltd. 85 Queen Street, Lurgan, Craigavon, Co. 8. someone reported before that one measures miles and the other measures kilometers or was it you?
  9. BJ You're going to put it on dyno? Where? Have you got PCommander already?
  10. Well spotted sir. I'll try for those. BTW, I got that tank in the end, even though someone else bought it! I've been painting it but am having a terrible time with poor weather & poor conditions, working in a tiny space , semi-outside, which means that I keep having to fix problems. I eventually got to final stage but tonight when I went to work at it and was climbing over stuff I managed to knock the tank over & it got a number of deep gouges through to the plastic. So more repairs. Hopefully get it sorted in time for the Erin rally. Will the rain stop? We need a smilie that is the opposite of

  12. From the various balance pipe problems, it sounds like you could do with springs to keep it all together, like slip-on exhaust cans?
  13. cheers Martin! I enjoyed that.
  14. You mean you haven't heard of 'The Great Mistral Crossover Disaster'? Believe me Ben, you don't want to know.
  15. If I had been more awake, that's what I would have done – only shortened the left, instead of both sides, and got more twist into the x-over installation. I've a feeling that I'll revisit this some time. Maybe tomorrow I'l post some pictures that I took of how it all lined-up. I only had a short test run last week and haven't had time to do any more with it it since, but I still think that it's pretty loud out on the road. The 'half lidless' air box adds a bit to the noise too. What can I cut-up next? Enjoy
  16. And of course the right can, while aligned with the left, ends up a lot futher out from the bike than the left does. I don't think that there's a perfect answer.
  17. Yes definitely. That's what I meant about it beiong a pity that Guzzi don't make handed pipes. There's not much that we can do about bending that stuff, (I don't think?). Get the hacksaw out
  18. er., maybe I am the Lord Mayor.
  19. Driving past the docks today I saw/heard loads of bikes coming off the ferry, heading up to the North West. And I can't go There were a couple of bikes pulling trailers and also a shiney BMW tourer – on a trailer, behind a big luxury camper van.
  20. Up close and personal
  21. It's that guy who drops off the side of skyscrapers, isn't it?
  22. uh yeh.. I do worry what effect this sort of thing has on impressionable minds. I'm considering saving my tape for Celebrity Love Island, whatever that is.
  23. That's a sizeable jaunt. Getting warmed up for your trip to the '40 shades of green'? How many miles do you reckon that will involve?
  24. It would be a miracle
  25. No I can't! Working all day on Belfast's Lord Mayor's Parade!! The council brought it forwards by a week!!! Don't start me!!!! And it looks like they've got the best line-up for years with a lot of interest from GB riders. What about this? – Police are using this as an opportunity to crack-down-on / educate bikers, so a local radio station is holding a text poll, "should speed limits on the roads be lower for motorcyclists?" !!!!!
