  1. I thought there were earlier posts to the contrary. I don't have time to search now. Was the crossover that was opened up (photos posted on forum) not cleared of some sort of internal baffle and then put back together? Maybe I need stronger medication, less medication, more coffee or less coffee or a good sleep.
  2. I came across a link elsewhere while looking for something. I noticed someone asking the same question and the answer was Athens, but someone responded that it was not and that it was Germany. Illegal? I think he/she may have nipped through a red light, though not sure, need to watch it again. Otherwise, and if the clocks were made by Veglia, then I'm sure it was all fine...ahem.
  3. Sorry to ask another question that 90% of people are probably deeply bored with but that's the nature of a forum – is this comment particularly concerned with a USA 'stock' crossover, with additional emmissions related constrictions, or is it just true of the Stock MG design anyway? and Jaap, where are you going to all the time?
  4. Where are you: where are you going to get this from? I look forward to the direct comparison.
  5. ? fried rice or chips ? usually has me stumped so I'm waiting for Jaap on this one. I know I can trust him (and he was even able to improve the power delivery of the seat of his pants).
  6. mmm, it's nearly a 10MB file but use yer imagination – do a crayon drawing of your Solex; then think of plugging one of those Power Commander thingies in it: the result will be like this li'l movie – apparently.
  7. Amo amas amat Can you rate the improvement incrementaly? What difference with just the Mistrals? How much more different with the rest? I got a reply from a supplier today saying that (with the CRISIS and all) they think there may not be any more Titanium kits made by Guzzi. I was advised to go for Mistrals (Lamaroni?) instead and advised they give 'more power' anyway.
  8. er, not really, but hey chaps, wanna clear your head – go for a bike ride...
  9. So you got your bike back at last, Antonionionio. I didn't know you were going for a Scura paint scheme. And you got that 'Nature's Way' costume too.
  10. Hmmmm... looks like you're right, Big Bubble.
  11. and on the 2002 with lightened flywheel/single plate clutch there don't appear to be any marks at all. I asked about this before – maybe if anyone knows different you could tell us what to look for? Otherwise the screwdriver on piston does the job.
  12. Someone must have opened up a stock can and put in a straight through inner pipe? (And then put it back together of course.) Anyone?
  13. Although the local shop said that you can't can a Guzzi, it appears that you can – in quite a variety of ways. Most have been mentioned on the site here, particularly in the FAQ. So I have sent the shop this list (doesn't include every option) to see if they will investigate and decide if they might be able to supply any. Has anybody seen/heard/tried the Venom road legal silencers? Moto Guzzi's own Ti kit + ECU Bos: round Alu M00125A, CF M00125C Carbon Can Co Fast by Ferracci: F33700 CF slip ons, F33700T Ti Galassetti: high level Gianelli : Maxi oval racing Alu 73317A, CF 73317C1, Ti 73317T1 Leo Vince: Leo vince SBK Alloy Type: KR Alloy 5431, Carbon 5432, Ti 5433 Mistral - lots of options: Round aluminum, Round carbon, Oval carbon Raceco: SS oval; balance pipe Renegade: Round & oval SS,Ti, CF Shark: Alu & CF Staintune: Oval, Removable Restrictor Venom: road legal oval cans titanium
  14. Not titanium: must be the aluminium surely? I've been trying to find UK prices. No luck so far. Here are US pices I saw earlier. Round aluminum $477.88 Round carbon $750 Oval carbon $895
  15. I'm not sure what you mean: do you think that is too expensive? It seems a very good price to me. It's much cheaper than prices that I have been quoted in UK. I enquired the other night about buying kit from 'Arbi K', but, like this one, it was the wrong one for my bike. It would have been quite expensive to ship from California, but I see that FbyF won't even consider delivery outside USA.
  16. At last, I found the diagram There seemed to be general agreement that the 'left' spring was the bad one. Is that the spring & pawl that you are talking about? Sorry I'm ignorant at the moment, but won't be shortly, as I intend to check this out on my 2002 gearbox. (The evidence, of this prolonged investigation, indicates that you must be that amateur detective, by the name of Baldini, who resides on Radio 4 from time to time?)
  17. hey, you forgot to mention, his good taste
  18. DO IT and post the answers here as soon as poss. Hooray! I'll buy a pizza.
  19. I think I recognise them. Isn't that Sport Nuda 2001, A65, and the third one's Lightning 650? They live in G.'s garage. That could be why he's been all reved up today.
  20. Uh oooh You have scared me now. I followed your link and look what I found – SWEDISH PEOPLE!
  21. Linux-drive myself (greeting from -ny Luleå) Phew! I was worried about you there. PS it's been fierce thunder, lightening, hail and rain here. But I'm still on track for heading to Lund in a few weeks, so keep hold of that – maybe push it south a bit.
  22. Thanks for the suggestion, G, but I'm a Mac driver so I'll not be having any of that Windows stuff
  23. Maybe they could be cheer up by this irish clip totally OT but I saw it yesterday and almost off my chair. I can't get the video, just the audio, but I can hear that it is Father Ted – so it must be
  24. not just so good for Mighty Honda Motorcycle Corporation
  25. So what were your other two races then? I thought you meant the Superbikes.
