  1. I saw this poster on someone's list of movies with Triumphs in them. Well, at least they didn't think it's a BMW. The Ann Margret movie clip has been on here before. Here it is again >> it's a link, as I don't see it on Youtube >> >> click - Ann M movie clip - here The Youtube version jumps around the photo booth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JDgTld7Yt8
  2. Maybe it's me but.....I don't see any Ferrari on this video Quite correct Antonio. It's a Mkll Escort. The Ferarri FF is in the first post. The question there is: would that Ferrari hippopotamus go up the hill, round the bends any better than that venerable old rear wheel drive Escort? Who cares? We just love "il cavallino rampante"!!! Il cavallino has a new brother: il hippopotamus grasso

    New engine

It would be good if you could reference the article/source.
  5. Ferrari FF or Mk ll Escort? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVQHL8E82QM

  7. and Englezi idioti + GSX 1300R http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETG76KrtXEk Do any of you Britishers remember if there was a motorbike show that was tried for a while, once upon a time? An Old Top Gear spin-off? Or was it just the awful Steve Berry reports on OTG that I'm thinking of?
  8. The big one that the Top Gearheads are waiting for is this Sunday's test of a BMW S1000RR racing against a £150,000 Ariel Atom V8, around the show's track. It's a standard BMW S1000RR ridden by British Superbike EVO class champion Steve Brogan. I hope they don't put James May (or any of them) in the car. May is rumoured, but so is Tiff Needell, which would make more sense. Meanwhile: Englezi idioti + Yugo 45 + the inevitable tank http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3SsqOa0hSg
  9. Nice! Terrible bike road, but an evocative picture. You know there are going to be some stories there.
  10. 'your' bike must have been the daddy to this:
  11. yes, that's what I thought. Does the original FF, the Jensen, qualify as a hatchback? Did that huge back window lift up, I can't remember? I think so. This Ferrari too. Aston Martin DB2 too Hatchbacks are fine.
  12. Ugly new bikes, ugly new cars and now Ferrari with their first four wheel driver, the Ferrari FF. The original four wheel drive FF was more elegant, i.e. The Jensen FF, Ferguson Formula. What's happened to designers?
  13. Bellissimo I wonder if you (we) perceive this soul, this emotion best if you-we ride alone? Of course we also have soul-mates and this is a reason that we enjoy our meeting together as Guzzi enthusiasts. However: my experience, which leads to these recent posts, is that being a part of THE GUZZI CLUB (I mean as a generic thing, not any particular club) does not necessarily provide or foster/grow the whole, round appreciation and it can create the opposite condition: soul destroying, not soul nourishing. When we become focused on our own fixed viewpoint and our own experience, the vision can become narrow, expectations are confined to what is already known – and then the people who believe that Guzziness is EVERYTHING, come to present the experience as something that is exclusive and they actually diminish the experience and even repel others. In other words: sometimes it is 'a breath of fresh air' to ride with other (non-MG) bikes and bikers!
  14. ,,, looked him up on Spotify (You all got Spotify ?)... What!? K 'Luddite' B has become a blur over the keyboard since acquiring broadband! The modern world is whizzing and whirring into the sanctity of the Welsh havens. Posting photos; then embedding videos; now Spotify! THE DAYS OF THE TONTI ARE NUMBERED. Where can we run to?
  15. Well said and of course I agree and have written similar in many posts but, for interest: what do you think of this line, this viewpoint, that I quoted (from an enthusiast of older Triumphs) in the other recent thread on this subject? "And although I love all this old iron regardless where it came from, it has no soul. It's iron, aluminum rubber, plastic, etc. The soul, or the perceived soul resides within the people who love and appreciate them."
  16. It will be great if 2011 is the year when I can get my Scura repaired and back on the road or, because I'm thinking of the track day experience this year, another possibility would be to fix the Scura to use for a track day instead of the Griso.
  17. The various sound files that I had before have lost their links. I had this one file to hand and have quickly uploaded it again. Does V11 throat singing count?
  18. Just remembered Slaid Cleaves: Brokedown i.e. my V11 ain't done no singin' for some time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TXSklbFBpU ( sorry again, Docc)
  19. No, it's new. A good enough rendition of Blind Willie McTell. Mind you, I have posted about a brokedown engine before. Brokedown, as in "song" or the succubus Griso ? What do you think?!
  20. Ah, those were the days.
  21. Oh my – it's almost February, already! 2011 help
  22. No, it's new. A good enough rendition of Blind Willie McTell. Mind you, I have posted about a brokedown engine before.
