  1. Those guys say that you're best to get off and push the 'thing': it goes faster. Maybe that's 'cos the battery's runs down? "The Empulse is a in advance depart from the Enertia, indicated by a way the company is promoting a thing. When you exam rode which first bike Brammo reps were a small cagey about its tip speed, primarily indicating it would be limited to 50mph but later observant it’d do over 60 if you pushed it. With the Empulse they’re creation no bones about the 100mph+ tip speed. "
  2. Well, actually, it mostly looks better than the Guzzi Oddsmobile. It's just a pity that the whole midriff looks it's bursting out of one of Guzzirider's Friday night party corsets. Not nice. If you want luggage? I suppose it does make sense for commuting, when for me, the petrol motor doesn't get warmed up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMIRhNir4FY However for me, the point of the bike, the whole enjoyment of it, is wrapped up with internal combustion. I can't imagine riding on a soul-less, life-less battery.
  3. I imagine that Harry's whisky collection is equally impressive? Uisge – that would be visge to us traditionalists: me, MacGvzzi and Moto Gvzzi
  4. VGLY
  5. Yes, yes, yes, MvcHvggis, of course it be ye olde latine. What I asked was.... did they use it, I mean, vse it, in any other ways at the time? I gvess not.
  6. ah, the spirit of the times and the universality of fine design well, at least two genius design gurus think alike hence this cousin to Guzzi's er, um... sporty, red concept Lovely
  7. I nearly posted about it a couple of months ago, but I lost the details and couldn't remember the name. The thing is, the price is horrendous. Isn't it £60,000 or something? That might be an exageration, or it might not. If this is the same bike, it was very pricey.
  8. :!: :!: Could the analogy, perhaps, be strained?
  9. Never, ever send your childers to Amerikay or to Awstrayl-i-ay Oh, hang on... I did, both. (she had never lifted a gun: until she went to Awstrayl-i-ay)

  11. Never mind about a Cafe Racer kit for yer trusty Royal Enfield cos this is the real, happening, thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPKsfWu5-hU It really is real. Really.
  12. Might as well complete the wardrobe. You've got the rest of that gear, though your shoes are a slightly bigger size.
  13. He'll be flinging farm animals around soon. At least, I believe that's what they do. I wouldn't know, personally.
  14. Yes, you. You know who you are.
  15. Hey - it's two different green V7s! Am I the first to spot that? Well, no one else said, so I get the prize, right?
  16. Great achievement - sounds like party time alright!
  17. I'd have to agree. It's only risking more damage and heartache. My experience is that a bad mechanic 'fixing' things just wrecks more things in the process. I am NEVER taking my bike back to that dealer and I've given up on getting parts that he owes me (as have other people). Unless you have good reason to do otherwise, take the bike away to someone who cares about what they do.
  18. Brill!! First ride report on 1200 Dorso V Twin!! First ride report on new Speed Triple!! First ride report on Guzzi V7 'Racer' *cough* 1200: 90° V-twin engine with four valves per cylinder, double overhead camshaft, liquid cooling and twin spark ignition; 136bhp and 85lb/ft.
  19. What exactly are you trying to say? You act like a horned hubby somehow Hubert Ask Baldini. I think you have missed out on some excessive 'discussions' in the bearded Guzzi world recently. Now, where are my slippers?
  20. So..... what were you referring to Luhbo? The bike behind, with the V configuration installed the wrong way..???
  21. So it's taken from an early motorcycle, like a tankbadge for instance? This is a badge for wearing. There were new ones produced regularly (every year?). Jacket / tie badges. It's the Twitter / Facebook of its day. I'm just wondering if it was used in other contexts... publicity posters, a particular model name, maybe even as a tank badge? Yes, GR – I think it's definitely derived from ye olde ancien lettering stylee U/V.
  22. Mmmm I like those pics too. Unfortunately you failed your Guzzi Beard Test. The complete sentence should be: "Reminds me of the old [...blah blah whatever] when Guzzis were Guzzis, men were men and bikes were nekkid!'
  23. I don't know anything about this stuff. I quite like the picture though. "Former MotoGP rider and recently crowned Henderson Harley-Davidson XR1200 Trophy Champion, Jeremy McWilliams, has emerged victorious from the final round of the 2010 AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 series at Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama on 26 September. The Warr’s Racing rider competed in the series as a guest rider after sealing the title in the inaugural UK series at Cadwell Park in August aboard a Harley-Davidson XR1200 motorcycle, prepped to a similar level as those raced in the AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 series. Best British rider McWilliams proved that he is still world class with a convincing race win on his first outing in the US championship. The Irishman lined up for the 11-lap race alongside the season-long contenders on the grid in difficult conditions, determined to bring a Transatlantic race win home to London-based Warr’s Harley-Davidson. McWilliams, supported by Warr’s, Roadracingworld.com and HOG Racing, led the race from start to finish with veteran Michael Barnes closely shadowing him aboard the Jones Brothers XR1200. Despite a close race-long contest between the two, it was McWilliams who pulled away to claim the race win and the accolade of being the only rider to claim XR1200 race wins on two continents. McWilliams said “Winning the final race in the American series was the icing on the cake in what has been a fantastic and fun year racing the Warr’s XR1200. I was in some pain over the weekend due to the cracked ribs I sustained during a testing session in Spain, but I was determined to end the season on a high. To beat the other Harley riders in their own back yard is a testament to Warr’s experience and expertise in prepping bikes and providing a reliable package.”"
  24. excellent competition indeed! Not so much 'The Times They Are A Changing' as, How To Become An Instant Veteran and Buy The Old Times In One Go. I like it. Nice jacket and goggles – shame about the bike!
