Yes, just joking. In the past year I have, at different times, both downloaded some Focus from iTunes and dug out the old vinyl. But at first (when nobody was responding in the thread, I did think that GS was looking for conservative, old-time, rock and roll (is that a contradiction in terms?). So even though my Starter list was quite conservative, I thought that even it might have been outside the bounds! I see now that people are thinking quite widely. So here we go. The Intermediate selection: 1) Current 93, Black Ships Ate The Sky http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=F9q1FomLSkw 2) John Zorn, Lonely Woman http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vZ6PnFRQnN4 interlude) Frank Zappa interview http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=xamf2O9-39s 3) Chip Taylor, Wild Thing http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=uftwyJP6Ees 4) Prince Buster, A Change Is Gonna Come http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=C6362e0lBv0 5) Bill Frisell etc, Sugar Baby http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=L7qsHSvHlP0 Bonus track: The Turtles, Buzz Saw http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=bZm96qtzePY

Yes indeed. There is enough interest and the accommodation booking is pencilled in at the moment. I was looking at the date countdown the other day and it's nearly down to 150 days. When I put the page up it was 200 days. A quarter of the time has passed and it really doesn't seem like long ago!

Isn't she getting a Griso before then?

...taking it down to the 'dyke shop', you mean?

The 1200 with new 4V engine will have higher power than V11. Yesterday I read someone who wrote that they get 250 miles to a tank on the 1200 Sport 4V! That is twice the range of my Griso and V.11 and would be welcome. The 1200 must be better built and certainly looks more comfortable and well suited to be a fast tourer.

Must Watch. Classic. Atmospheric. (Some of) you will love these. Old footage of Joey Dunlop circa 1977, just prior to embarking on TT dominance. Part 2 shows the famous fishing boat transport used to get bikes and tools to IOM. Just watch the first 40 seconds and see if you can resist the rest. Methinks ye talke crazeee talke my goode fellowe. Dig the hip lyrics I've been labouring on. Rockin innit? I'm gonna write a little letter, gonna mail it to my forum Admin. Yeah an' it's a jumpin' little audio file I want my forum jockey to play. Roll Over Bendy, I gotta hear V-twin Termignoni today. You know, the relay temperature's risin' The Moto Guzzi's blowin' a fuse. My crank's beatin' rhythm and my airbox keeps a-singin' the blues. Roll Over Bendy and tell Admin Jaap the news. I got the rockin' tappets, I need a shot of air cooled rhythm and blues. I caught the rollin' shafties sittin' down at a 1200 Sport review. Roll Over Bendy the valves 'r' rockin' in two by two. Well, if you feelin' like it go get your V.11, then reel and rock it. Roll it over and move on up just a trifle further and reel and rock with it, roll it over, Roll Over Bendy, dig these big torque rhythm and blues. Well, early in the mornin' I'm a-givin' you a warnin' don't you step on my Tenni suede shoes. Hey diddle diddle, I am setting the gaps to universal spec, call it a fiddle, ain't got nothin' to lose. Roll Over Bendy and tell Admin Jaap the news. You know she wiggles like a glow worm, dance like a spinnin' top. She got a crazy Marzocchi, Ya oughta see it reel and rock. Long as she got high octane, the revin' music wont never stop. Roll Over Bendy, Roll Over Bendy, Roll Over Bendy, Roll Over Bendy, Roll Over Bendy, dig these big twin rhythm and blues. EDIT I thought I better add that this is, of course, Chuck Berry's Roll over Beethoven – in case you young-uns don't know it.

A new road race has been confirmed. It will be at Armoy, home town of Joey and Robert Dunlop [and Jim Dunlop – the only surviving member of the Armoy Armada from the 70s.** ] Here is a drive around the circuit: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=4NP98KvFqPo 2009: Armoy races on 8 August and the restored Mid Antrim 150 a week earlier. The Cookstown 100 is scheduled for 25 April with the Tandragee 100 taking place a week later. Following the North West 200 on 16 May, the next road racing event in Ireland will be the Bush Road Races on 20 June. After the Mid Antrim and Armoy events on 1 and 8 August, the Dundrod 150 will take place on 12/13 August in the same week as the Ulster Grand Prix (15 August). ** http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=144072

There have been discussions about the 'best' or 'required' length of intake tube. I don't know what threads they were in. You might be lucky and find them, if you try a search with some suitable words.
