  1. Wow what are those? Has anybody seen one? Leather over plastic? What sort of safety rating would they have? This one would match the elbow patches on Mike Wilson's corduroy
  2. a 1V probably = a holeinthe head vvvvvvVVVVVVRrrrrrooommm = a hot head
  3. No safety valve = Ed over'eels
  4. By George! I think you're getting it, old boy! I really think you are! I believe you're nearly ready to move on to the Austin Allegro.
  5. 5V per cylinder = Outofyourhead
  6. ** pronounced 'joker' obviously His first name is too rude to pronounce, but also seems to be in keeping with his fine creation.
  7. knees my roars? What are those?
  8. Have you been doing those **Rorschach inkblot tests with your psychoanalyst again? **(pronounced ʁoɐʃax)
  9. It's actually quite easy. It's pronounced like raw-sausages-over-a-year-old-are-an-italian-delicacy but remember that the ausages-ver-a-year-old-are-an-italian-delicacy part, is silent
  10. Name him! Was it Jimmy Edwards?

    Stelvio

And today was that Donnington test day for dealers
  15. You thought that combination was a strange brew?
  16. I wonder were they trying to play on the evocative memory of the V8, when the Griso was badged 8V?
  17. Same with Mountain. Without Felix =
  18. Maybe you were a Grand Funk Railroad fan?
  19. Yep, I know. Just wondering why they aren't consistent in how they describe the motor. Strange marketing approach, though Paul gives an explanation.

    8V / 4V

On MG.it site, MG describe the 1200 in Stelvio as 4V but the 1200 in Griso as 8V The site also has a pic of the 1100 Griso that is supposed to be the 1200
  21. Mikey man, you gotta get with it, old geezer. Cats are flyin' through space and all sorts of hep jivey stuff's going down.
  22. Yeh, the 8V can is not as gigantic. I'll be sticking with it, for a while anyway. I'm hoping that the sound is not too muffled. A Termi on the 1100 Griso sounds very good.
  23. Are you worried that I'll make you look inadequate, in May?
  24. – well no one else would want them! Yes. If only you paid road tax for use of the road! You can only ride one machine at a time. They're all different and all a bit of history, especially the LMlll. I haven't ridden a Griso yet, but I'm sure the V.11, despite its quirky faults, will still provide a distinctively enjoyable ride of its own. I'll probably keep the Griso 'good' and 'fiddle with' the V.11 I need to get a couple more children moved out, so as I can get the Guzzis in.
