  1. There will be a NW200 team running Ducatis in all BSB 2008 rounds
  2. Just remembered this, as I'm off to Brussels for a few days. Someone said before that we should meet up. I'd pm my phone number if I could remember for sure who it was. Must have been Jihem / Jim? – Was it? Where's Jean-Marc – France? I'll be at Rue de la Casererne 37 1000 during the day Thurs & Fri and prob around town on Sat (Grand Place etc) Unless I get stuck in France with the strikes and disruption. Flying to Paris, due to a complicated reason. If anyone's around, send me a message as I'll be home until Wednesday afternoon. Must go for the horse meat this time. DB
  3. Doing some stuff for opening of Ireland stage of World Rally in Belfast (Stormont) tonight. Those cars sure make some noise. Lovely Rally Ireland Tonight
  4. Totally un-necessary headwear and helmet adapted to fit, only provide detrimental top-heaviness. Yes, it may be a fashion statement that marks you out as an individual in a mass of black-suited biker-boys, but, you pay the price in performance.
  5. With the lll it's still the electrical(?) thing of running cold on one side. With the Scura it's the oil that leaks out of various places. Fix one place and another starts. The one that has put-paid to use-ability is the fork seals. When they went again, they soon got to the point where fluid was soaking over the rotors and pooling in the wheel rim when the bike was stopped. The brakes work when they're oily
  6. Another take on the idea of being on the bike (on the road) out there 'in the environment'... sorry to be cheeky, it's two pictures
  7. Second photo very nice. Yeh, confirms that they should have put round fins on that new-old model V7 retro. It's not fair
  8. Hey, watch who you're insulting, pointy-head! Flathead disguised under overly-compensated headgear Flathead nots so well disguised by youthfully exuberant hair-do
  9. Whatever the conversion rate, we often have to pay up to twice the price for goods here compared to USA. Often the same price in
  10. Sounds good. Nice to hear about the generational change in fit&finish& operability as experienced by an owner.
  11. Well you've woken up too soon. It's not spring yet. Or has Guzzirider been 'explaining' the calendar to you?
  12. Absolutely! My '69 (recorded) album was the Stones' Get Yer Ya Yas Out still one of their best. See here for a top 10 best live rock recordings list, just for interest's sake. No1 = Allmans at Fillmore East Yep, a treasured gatefold
  13. ---- so you missed the initiation ceremony at Aultguish? From the way that you were walking, I just assumed...
  14. Sorry, I just looked and he's actually got thousands of the things.
  15. So did anyone ever figure out how to chop a pork to an engine brace, in that other thread? I had a quick peek there but it seems to have gone all vegetarian. Lean? I like a bit of fat myself.
  16. This? thare's also this there: Looks like our erstwhile friend, the good Captain?
  17. So you didn't spot the invisible points? Have a look at Mike Wilson's posts. He's got a couple of dozen.
  18. I've never seen the attraction of BMW rallies, myself. But it takes all sorts.
  19. What month is it?
  20. erm... I believe that it's November? Have you been going crazy at a Halloween party perchance? nudge, nudge, wink, wink
  21. Clip of the day today is their visit to the MG factory (an excerpt from the visit shown on tv tonight).

As the engine lump is still carrying stress, I wonder have they increased the strength of the engine casing? It doesn't look like it from the photos. The weakness of the V.11, which cracks the casing too easily when a laden bike falls, would need to be much improved on in a bike like this, you'd think? I don't like the unflattering bulkiness and unsympathetic surfeit of plastic that the recent designs have. It's like the huge volume of the first Griso exhaust epitomises a major styling value that MG has injected into the heart of its design vision.
  23. There's many a tune that could accompany this. Why not start with 'All around my Hat' by Steeleye Span. Press play now.
  24. Why didn't they put round fins on it, the chumps?
