  1. someone has to state the obvious, somewhere along the line But here, how many rally fireside chats does it take to properly heat-cycle a Guzzi rider and get him well-tempered and nicely broken-in? Does the lubrication process play an important role?
  2. Hmm... going by Ratchet's telling of events, there doesn't seem to be any difference to me...
  3. Hi FalcoLion and thanks, I appreciate the offer. I would have ordered last time when there was the introductory offer
  4. My right one is a little bent, so we could swap to make matching pairs! It would be good if someone could post a reference number (or numbers) as a starting point for finding the Pazzo levers. I asked a local supplier/stockist but he couldn't find Guzzi numbers in the catalogue or by phone call to suppliers. Obviously they should, in theory, be available because we saw them in the previous Pazzo (America) thread. and meantime, my glued and screwed front brake lever repair has stood the test of time oh yeah, D.L.
  5. Film
  6. ah yes, that's it
  7. The bits of vid of the black 1000S are rather good too. And I like the CAF
  8. but my clock is a security threat! It's wired to 'a device' under the Tenni Forum and when the time reaches **o'clock on the shh! of November, BOOM, the whole thing goes up! Mwahahaha, hahhahahahaaaaaaaa Except, curses, now I've been foiled by your cunning security measures! I must re-double my efforts...

    Back Again

Would you be up for a wee get-together with a few bikes this side of the border, some time next year? See the Meetings forum.

    Back Again

I suppose you made your fortune? :2c: :2c:
  11. Give Jaap (& Paul) a chance to get it changed over! It was explained that the standard blue was just temporary and the red skin would be back. I'm sure there'll be a few gremlins to get sorted out for a while.
  12. Are you sure that petrol is ok? Is tank level low? I think 2004 works same as earlier bikes – whereby there can be petrol in the bottom right side of the tank, but it's no use because it can't get circulated. When I've had very low petrol, bike (2002) has behaved exactly as you described.
  13. Get those bars down, GR
  14. Brilliant! Well done and there did just have to be something more to yours. Just wait 'til next time Meantime, edit added to above post
  15. yes good one
  16. Edit: me = This is where it gets difficult to know if people are on the same wavelength or not, just reading a few words in forum posts. If you're concerned that Mike, or we, thought you really were being big-headed – don't worry, that's not the case. It's just what Ratchethack calls UK humour. Except he'd call it 'humor'. My 'humble claim' was a reference to Humble Pie and I take it that Mike was following-up with a reference to the Small Faces. Both great Marriott bands of course. But even I am not sure if his mention of fire has any extra significance or not! Cheers for the good connection and here's to a bit of banter He was bit of a hero alright and his guitar has a touch of Guzziness too
  17. did you do him on a spit, wrap him in foil and leave in hot ashes overnight, or what?
  18. Thanks for all the feedback so far. I take on board what you said Martin. A small group in 2008 could be cheapish, as in possibly no acommodation costs. The good thing about having the bigger event in 2009 is that it allows time for us to fundraise so that we can fly-in the DL & Ratchet Show for our evening entertainment and build up a stock-pile of rotten tomatoes
  19. Martin I'll probably camp, but if you want to go for a room, I could be persuaded to make up a threesome. D (Any smart comments about that suggestion should be posted in the appropriate thread. Any photos of the 'third partner' can be PMed.) PS Don't go off riding all over Britain while you're (not) there.
  20. Thanks Antonio Seems like it would be good to plan for a bigger event in 2009 and do something smaller in 2008. I can talk with Chris and Guy so that early summer 2009 is coordinated. It's a long way for you guys, but it's not really any further than the last Scottish trip. (And it's not so easy / quick for me to get to Europe either!) Indeed
  21. We could have a small 'taster' rally and scout a road or two. Mid Antrim 150 at beginning of August? thread - Mid Antrim pics Video includes MV Agusta another video
  22. oh, 'face'. Right, for a small minute I thought that you had missed the pie, er... the point.
