Thanks Doc I also figured out how to stop the notifications too... Phew it was weird as after the anti-virus note my own flagged up for renewal which I did, then realised it was actually current! Thought I'd been hacked there for a bit.... Guzzler

G'day folk's Anyone else on this forum on the Ghetto as well? I went in this morning and got ... This domain has expired pending renewal or deletion... Then I've been getting notifications every few minutes about... System under threat? Free anti-virus set up blah blah Anyone else getting this and if so how do you stop it? Cheers Guzzler

I just had a bloke in England post me a USB stick to upgrade my surround sound system. That's UK to Australia though not the USA. It took 3 weeks to the day to get here but from what I hear about the Royal Mail lately that's not too bad. I was expecting it to take longer! Cheers Guzzler

Cobram ,that's not a bad spot either mate... You're right about Gippy being green. We find it stays green much longer than any other spot in Victoria. Ha ha due to the amount of rain as mentioned! After 30 years in Melbourne we couldn't wait to get outa the rat race and Gippy always had a pull. We're an hour from the snow an hour from the beach and an hour to the city. The only reason we go in there is to see the kids and grandkids and the odd time I have to go to the office in Dandenong Sth. Love it here. Cheers

I also think it looks better without the red valve covers! Much better in black! Good looking bike Cheers

Ha ha Yeah mate love it here not going anywhere else... Cheers

Yep, some bloody good riding round these parts. It's a pity that some of the roads are in need of maintenance but still good fun though! Cheers Ps We had a Suzuki Grand Vitara (full time 4 wheel drive) for a few years and yep the grip was good and modern bike tyres are great in the wet these days, but still need your wits about you all the same eh.

G'day folk's I've had a Shendengan reg/rec on mine since 2010 and not had an issue ever since. Ha ha the only downside... It does away with the charge (battery) light on the dash. Went through the old receipts to see if Brad (Brad the Bike Boy) mentioned a part # but all I have is... Shendengan1 ( Duc 3 phase non gen ) $181.81 back in 2010 here in the land of Oz. I remember Brad telling me at the time that these were the best and coming from him I'd take it as gospel! Cheers Guzzler

Mate It's anything but Summer down here at the moment... 13 degrees rain and windy which makes it worse, we've even got the fire going... Probably be 30 degrees again in a day or so though....Nuts! Instead of tiptoeing along a wet and slippery road to Noojee,I'm afraid I'm hobbling round the house with what I suspect is a touch of Gout....Arghhh! The ole man's had it since his forties and my younger brother has it too so it's not looking good, so it's off to the Quack's next week! The upside of it is that it's the left side of my left foot so would still be able to change up and down, so don't rule out another dalliance with Nooj and Nayook just yet...! Cheers Guzzler

God, what next... Patent the exhaust note?? Cheers

G'day mate Glad to hear you're getting it sorted... Yeah, 15mm does sound a bit extreme but I believe some here have the Ohlins shock which is 8mm longer than standard AND have forks up in the triples 5-8mm... So maybe not as extreme as we think?? I know when I was discussing raising mine by 10mm, Rob ( mechanic ) thought it was a bit much and thought try 5 so we settled on 8mm ha ha. There are NO issues whatsoever with it and I'm pretty chuffed now! The only thing I'd be tempted to try would be more sporting tyres just to feel the difference as have only ever run sport touring, but I can just hear the Minister now ... Why do you need tyres at 7000 kays when the last ones went 15 ? Cheers Ps (Angel GT2 at 11k now and looks like quite a bit left) Pps still glowing from my wee ride yesterday ha ha gotta love these bloody things before they... COME TO TAKE ME AWAY Ha Ha

G'day folk's Just an update for anyone that's interested... I managed to get out on the bike for a 160 or so kay ride and managed to test the suspension settings again. I had moved the Comp back to 4 clicks in and Reb 6 x clicks in ( both from fully out or soft from previous settings of C + 2 /R +4 ) as felt the comp need a wee bit more. They'll be staying put on these now as I love the way she handles and the feel from front end is bloody marvelous... Love it Cheers Guzzler

Reckon the Lav would've handled better than any Boss Hoss though...

When the 1200 Sport came out I really wanted one of these. I was over my neck surgery and able to ride again BUT... At $20K + I just couldn't justify this as it was to be my toy basically and we were just finishing a big reno on the house at the time! So had to wait a bit till funds were available for my splurge. I'm so glad I had to wait and that a Green V11 Sport found her way to me. I haven't ridden a newer Guzzi* but I can tell you that the minute I fired up the V11 at the shop when I went to look at it ... I WAS SMITTEN Thirteen years later.... I STILL AM Cheers Guzzler * I have ridden an older Mk 5 though. -
Whoops, not sure whether it's earthed to the frame or engine block but can check and confirm if anyone needs to know... Whichever it is it certainly worked though. Cheers Guzzler

G'day I had a couple of issues like this early in the piece... Brad (mechanic) replaced the reg/rec with a Shendengan Mosfet jobbie and earthed it to the frame and no issues in 10 or more years. Still carry spare fuses but touch wood, haven't needed them! No idea what gauge the wire is though. Cheers Ps hope I haven't woken the infamous electrical demon for having dared mention this....
-
Good luck mate Hope it's an easy fix, better still easy and cheap! Stil, I doubt nothing easy in removing the gearbox eh! Cheers Guzzler
-
Yep Once they get under your skin that's it....

Ha ha The wife's been cooking and preparing food for the last 2 days! I've got a snowballs chance in hell of losing the gut till at least March.... Cheers Ps maybe a wee jog across the Nulla to see mates in... Perth? Na, doubt I'd get past the mailbox!
