  2. G'day Sadly all I can do is look at her at the moment.. Between work/home chores and being crook there for a few days I haven't gotten out for a ride in 6 bloody weeks! Might just take the ole tart for a run to my niece's place on Christmas day, ha ha be a present for us both. Cheers Guzzler
  3. Bloody hell , I've got the stutters now... Please disregard the double up, I must be hovering round the 3 -4 k wobbly zone myself! Cheers Guzzler
  4. Cheers mate. I might just give that a whirl next start up! Hopefully that'll be sometime soon, been 5 weeks so she'll be well and truly cold....
  5. Cheers mate. I might just give that a whirl next start up! Hopefully that'll be sometime soon, been 5 weeks so she'll be well and truly cold....
  6. G'day Mines the same from dead cold she needs a wee bit o throttle before she ba-booms into life... Same as Doc's fires first touch of the button after that. Cheers
  7. I don't mind it either but do agree the radiator could have been done better... Cheers Guzzler
  8. Aha.... Thanks Doc
  9. G'day fellas Sorry to drag the thread backwards but as I was ( maybe am ) contemplating raising rear ride height,,, How much longer than stock is the Ohlins unit? Cheers Guzzler
  10. Ha ha I didn't think it would be cheap, but thats way outa my league...!! Cheers
  11. G'day I have a Hyperpro 460 shock on mine ( would assume same length as std ?) and also have forks up through the triples by 8mm and happy with it too! As for the hairy handling on bumpy roads, I think this may be due to holes in compression side fork leg and oil blowing through them instead of the valving as per previous threads. This can then lead to a hydraulic lock and strong rebound which can be interesting in the right environment to say the least. Since I had the new shock and mods to forks ( but not blocking the holes ) it's been a LOT better than before and we have some roads here that could double as MX tracks! I can still feel it on big hits but a lot less than before due to good suspension technician. I mean to have these holes blocked and forks re-valved again + change progressive springs to straight weight when I have the suspension serviced soon and would think that this wee aberration will be gone for good. Cheers Guzzler
  12. G'day mate Yep we've had some of the worst Covid restrictions here in Victoria, but they are loosening now as you mention. I can imagine it would be a logistical nightmare to get in here at the moment still though ! The weather's been pretty crazy of late but definitely getting better slowly and we have some great riding just out of Melbourne eh!! Would've been a hoot to catch up and show you some of them... Cheers Guzzler Ps I hear you about the rain, we've had plenty of it too ha ha
  13. Public holiday here in Melbourne ( although I'm in regional Victoria, the company is based in Melb ). So before the heat kicks in and every man and his dog starts heading back for work tomorrow. I fired the bike up and went to see Dad and my brother for the first time since late June...! Bloody Covid. Neat 200 k ish round trip, great ride and virtually had the good road to myself on way in and only hit light traffic 10 or so kays from home... WooHoo! Anyway the temp is creeping up now and looks all set for the first dip in the pool since last summer... So Dip and Sip, Dip and Sip ... repeat till wobbly boot sets in and time to retire to the balcony... Not a bad caper this! Cheers Guzzler
  14. Wiped the spring bugs off her after a commute ( rare these days ) to work! The FUN way home was freakin FANTASTIC...! Cheers Guzzler
  15. Bloody hell. I really feel for those in the Northern climes who have to lay their bikes up for the savage winters! We're lucky in being able to ride year round down here and absolutely do so,I did grow up in Christchurch NZ where the winters are harder than Melbourne ( nothing like Europe & Nth America/Canada though ) and sure as hell don't miss the black ice etc and sliding down the road on my arse. Ha ha too old for that shit and thankfully don't see any of it where we are. I do get a bit toey after a couple of weeks if I can't get a ride in and with Covid lockdowns and a miserable wet winter it's been THREE WEEKS now! Still not as bad as the time we moved house, 3 x MONTHS !! If I had to do that every year I'd have myself measured up for a straight jacket and start padding the walls here in the house... Things are looking up though as we're half way through Spring and it will get better. For those of you laid up, hang in there eh, Cheers Guzzler
  16. Ha ha...
  17. Geez. That's the best looking Cento I've seen.. Must be an exciting ride ! Cheers Guzzler
  18. Mate I'm at 90,000 k's ( whisker under ) and that is still a hell of a lot cleaner than mine ! She hasn't had a good clean in ages and this makes me realise it's time to get rid of the winter grime. Enjoy the Spine raid ! I've got some cleaning to do.... Cheers Guzzler
  19. Ha ha Mate I was just thinking same before I saw your post!! I can't believe Doc's bike has 200,000 kays on it and looks like that! Mine has about half that and don't look that clean. A credit to you Doc Cheers Guzzler
  20. G'day mate No not threaded. They have an end cap with an arm,the mirror clamps on this end and is inserted into the bar, Then when you tighten the allen key the arm expands inside the handle bar and tightens everything up. I'd take a photo but as usual with these digital cameras every time you want to use them the bloody battery is flat.. Hope this description explains? Cheers Guzzler Ps being a cheaper Rizoma copy I did have to resort to a little bodgery, not much mind.
  21. I had the Napoleon type on mine when I first got the bike, never quite liked them though. It looked like it was bodged into fitting as per Scud's experience. I replaced it with a Rizoma ( cheaper copy ) type and reckon it looks great! Not quite as effective as some ( most ) but I'm happy with it eh. Cheers Guzzler
  22. Congratulations and welcome to the madness mate! Yep must get the seat cowl too... Cheers Guzzler
  23. Geez they do look bloody good with the Magni fairing eh... Cheers Guzzler
  24. G'day mate Yep they mount up just like the standard unit ! I've had mine for about 7 years and nearly 50,000 kays without an issue of any sort! Ha ha cheers James, I love this bike eh. I've owned some iconic bikes in the past but I can't think of any other bike that I've owned where the magic of owning /riding it is still there after 10 + years and 70,000 kays. Still look back at it as I walk away after a ride too... A beautiful madness ha ha
