  1. Hope you enjoyed the trip in spite of it, Gil. Thanks for the pic. I now see that in order to be a "real" Moto Guzzi dealer, we need some graffiti.
  2. In the butt, Bob
  3. Okie, All Guzzis use the big pivot. I hear a guy in Houston may have some CRG's available
  4. Front timing cover gaskets were a pretty common failure on the wrinkle finish motors. Start there, and get ready for it to get uglier, I am afraid. There is a new metal gasket for the Breva 1100. May be a help. Have not needed to find out.
  5. JRT, Glad you made it through. Hurricanes are bad. Tornadoes with little or no warning are worse. I lived in Tulsa for a few years as a kid--- that crap used to scare the F#@$ out of me. I know when a hurricane is coming, and have a few days to prepare. And yes, hurricanes often bring tornadoes along.... but I won't live in the midwest any time soon.

    Tank Bag

Many happy trips with the tankbag, Velo.. Whiskey for my men, and beer for my horses I have found the foam "grippy" mats used for area rugs to be the same foam as the marine grade non-slip material. Get a few buddies to go in together, get a mat for a room sized rug, and you have a lifetime supply. Even sneak it in as a "Home Depot" purchase, not mc related Been very happy with it in real-life usage. My nod to the "frugal" on the list.
  7. Careful, Counselor Wasn't there something in there about "from each according to his abilities"? A fridge stocked with Peroni could be considered the limit of abilitites for some...... Paging Mr. Orwig.....
  8. Search Electrex RR51. Don't know if they are avilable in the UK.
  9. These guys make nice stuff: http://hp.autometer.com/homepage/homepage.html
  10. The con rod recall involved replacing both the rods and rod bolts. Only very early production V11 Sports were subject. We had one early 2000 model get the con-rod recall. Dozens of the trans recalls. I am unaware of any database for tying engine number to frame number. There may be such a database in the basement in Italy. It has never been offered to the dealers, AFAIK.
  11. Agreed. Wick called this noise from the get-go. New bearings( rods only, no rear main needed), under warranty, and he was down the road. Happy camper. He also bought a Nero Corsa to go with his 03 V11 Nekkid, and he is buying a Cafe Sport-converted to clip-ons and RM fairing cuz that is the way he likes 'em. That is why some dealers like MI, MPH, DE, and the others named do what we do. (Aside from being independently wealthy and certifiably insane). Oh, Wick's buddy George(also from Tennessee) picked up his Coppa Italia this am and rode back to TN. He rode in on -- Wick's Quota-- 1000 miles each way. Hope you enjoy the ride back, George And-- thanks, Wick The BBQ was the hound's huevos Great day at MPH--
  12. I have a set of the Ergals in stock. Perhaps they just went up in value??
  13. V11 Sports used the Bosch/BMW multi-piece headlamp assembly. This has a "finned" lens, with light directed either to left or right by the lens, depending on local rules. Guzzi sells only complete headlamp. BMW sells lens, left or right. V11 Sports used the same lens as the Cali's, excepting 98-2001 EV's, which used a smaller light. Same small light as Centauro. Lenses for the small lamp also available individually from BMW. Left and right. Clear as mud? Beginning with Lemans/Scura/Ballabio, etc., a 1-piece unit with a clear lens was used. I am unaware how the "British Situation" is handled WRT to this style lamp. I would presume the reflector is different. The parts diagram shows 1 UK-AUS-NZ-Japan headlamp or 1 for everybody else.
  14. V50.... Precisely what I would want to be riding when under enemy fire.
  15. Soren, Don't be a playa hater
  16. Here's a site for Major Bling. http://www.playerappreciate.com/pimphandle.asp Get your pimp handle while you are there. Sheik T. Jazz
  17. Shameless spam alert. Only becasue there seem to be a lot of people looking for these.... We just received a consignment Nero in near perfect condition, low miles with hepco Journey bags. MRA windshield, Buell footpegs. call or e for details. 281-647-6557 www.mphcycles.com
  18. Rick, if the part you need is #14 in the pic below, make sure your dealer has the new number on order. Old number was 01114300, replaced by 01114390. This supercession is not made automatically in the current parts ordering system. The old number will remain on order forever, never to be filled. I have four of these boots in stock. Can "loan" you a pair until yours come in. If your bike is unridable, take up Greg or I on the offer. If it is merely cosmetic, ask your dealer to confirm the part number on order.
  19. And THAT is carved in stone... Eh, Greg?
  20. Check BMW on the bearing as well. $147 USD retail in the US. 33-12-1-468-899,SKF 61917 C3. Seal, double lip directional viton, 85x110x10/9.5 (factory Guzzi seal is 85x110x8) p/n 33-12-1-241-938 $18.00 USD retail in the US.
  21. Attached is the pic of the bearing removed from our demo. Significant radial play in the bearing. Anyone recognize that brand? Replacement SKF (sourced locally, and same as the BMW oilheads,) had no radial play. Much better product, even if made in France
  22. Judge, The side bags have been unavailable from MGNA for over 2 years. The luggage kit you describe is the only thing they have available for the V11 The item descriptions are fairly complete on the case warranty claims I have filled out.
  23. Here ya' go, Pete
