  1. >Maybe if you remove what's left of the airbox your gas milage will reach 100 mpg? >Might be worth a try. It's all that weight! Heck, I filled my frame with helium to improve handling. Ok, just kidding. I've the K&N pods, mistrals, and remapped stock computer. I do notice a bit of the midrange doldrums, so I just stay out of midrange. Love the way it sounds, now. I have no idea what kind of gas mileage I get. Cheers, Jason
  2. Hmm, forgot to log in for that last post...and I wanna be forum flooder The metal should be real soft aluminum. I've had good luck with similar projects just using the dremel 'drum sander' attachment even though it's meant for wood. I like modifying these bikes too. Gives it nice homey feel. Let me know if you do it, and how it turns out. Cheers, Jason
  3. I used to have this little two-stroke Yamaha. Heck, I was lucky to even be able to make out 'vague shapes and colors' in that rear view mirror. Ha Ha! Cheers, J
  4. Why not Mistrals? I have a pair and like them a lot. They sound good (reasonably loud) and you get a little bit on the top end. You will need to open up the intakes as well. Can you imagine getting much air through those miserly little snorkels? Cheers, Jason
  5. Carry a small Rat Shack mini-multimeter; that helps a lot when trying to track down gremlins whilst on the road. Toss out the toolkit that came with the bike, and replace with a decent set. There's always the compulsion to bring too many tools when on the road. Keep it simple- a few allen wrenches, screwdriver, a 10,11,12,17,19 mm set of wrenches. Pliars...or 'plars' depending on where you're from. Replace the oil filler cap with one that you can loosen by hand. Extra fuses, a visa card (it's everywhere you want to be, TM) and you're set. Cheers, Jason

    New Guzzi Sport

If you want Guzzi to import (heck, manufacture!) these lovely machines, then let them know! Aprilla is still soliciting opinions on the intermot (?) site. http://www.combattiva.it/guzziintermot/def...fault.asp?lin=2 While I probably wouldn't buy either the MGS or the Griso, I really like the Griso tag line- 'The birth of a new species' Kind o' like Miles Davis (Birth of the Cool). I really hope they import the Breva. The Jackal is a bit heavy for my wife, and I bet the Breva would be ideal. Plus, it looks cool. Cheers, Jason
