This is the best I can do as far as parts go- here is a picture of the evoluzione kit. Bolt #3 is a basic M6 as found on the valve covers, the rest are M10. I tried to set the rest of the bolts up so you can judge depth, but you can read a couple of values off the packaging.

1. There's two things that will fix the deceration death. Both easy. Put more miles on the bike and remove the overflow o-ring seal under the gas cap. Be aware, though, that removing that seal means you could spill some gas if the bike tips over. It basically let's the tank breath so that a vacuum doesn't build up (down?) in the tank. Prevents 'tan suck' also. Riding more just helps the bike break in. If you only have 6k miles, it's not yet broken in. 2. I won't touch that one. 3. Pirelli angels sound good to me. I have metzlers now, but based on various reviews, I might have a conversion. TomM recently had a thread on tires. Try tech topics.

DON'T use a screwdriver. If the quick disconnects are not coming apart, you aren't doing it right. I think the trick is (from memory) to push them together, then they pop apart. Someone correct me if I'm wrong and thinking about a different style. It's been awhile since I've worked, or even seen, my bike.

Woah, thanks for letting me know, Tom. The faq points to a page on one of my old computers that no longer exists. The wayback machine (internet archive) still has the writeup/partslist and a couple of pictures. Ryan Moto International have what you need,see Guzziology. Depending on which model your bike is you can use a top clamp of a Cali and what ever bars you like. I did this and used Yamaha SR 500 bars from the wreckers. Some machining involverd here and you may require extra weighted bar end weights to quell the vibration. B. Hey Syd, thanks. I've got a 2001 v11 sport. Is any drilling involved in the triple tree? Did you perform this yourself? If not, what did it cost you? I put a writeup in the FAQ section quite a while back. It gives all the parts and details what is needed. The short answer is yes, you will need to drill the triple tree if you install handlebars. A couple of other options (convertibars?) have since been developed that do not require drilling.

I use bar-end weights and clamp-on CRG mirrors. Not sure how strongly I can endorse them. They are well made, nicely adjustable, but small and very convex (i.e. everything is tiny).

The bosch is a fine relay afaik. Don't throw them out- a bit of acetone (nail polish remover) will likely remove the markings or smudge them into obscurity. Dan the man (Prunske) sells replacement relays at very reasonable cost so if you do replace them, contact him. Do a web search- he's in Wisconsin.

Cheers, Jason PS- use a small needle-nose pliers to remove the blade-type fuses. Also, check the charging voltage when you get the bike started again. It doesn't sound like it could be a relay problem.

Tom, thanks for inviting me to ride along with you! We had a wonderful time (with the exception of the late night "incident" of which we will never speak again). The organizers- Tom Halchuck and Tim (?) put on a SUPER rally. Many thanks to them. The food was plentiful and delicious. Most of us had an appropriate hangover for the sunrise bagpipes. Yes, sunrise. As Tom said, it was nice to meet folks in person (Pete, Jude, dhanson, Tom, Tom, Tim and many others). I didn't catch the GS vs portapotty either, but it was fun to watch the trials competition put on by the adventure riders. Even a Suzuki SV650 and a BMW R80 (?) with Vetter fairings participated (and kinda crashed). Nobody hurt, no blood, so it's all in good fun. Here is TomM catching up to a BM rider. You can't see what a handsome fellow he is, but he has nice cans. Our daughter, in various degrees, entertained or was entertained by the rally-goers. She was in fine form and talking to anyone who would listen. Funny, because I was kind of a shy kid. She now wants her own bike, since the ST4s is too slow for her.
