What's red stick? I'm sorry to hear you didn't get a warmer welcome on the Aprilia forum. We have a number of forum regulars who work with Guzzi's in one way or another. I'm glad they're here- they add value to discussions.

Bleah, I hate the oil return from the valve covers (if that's what you meant Skeeve). It always seemed to be a great place for a leak to develop, and it makes it more of a pain to set the valves. I guess it was done for improved venting...but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Damn, I like that smilie.

Congrats and good luck! I'd say go to MGNOC rallies and find out what your constituents want, but you probably won't stock 1967 V7 parts p.s. the Breva is a real treat to ride!

I thought it was amusing. Thanks for having a sense of humor, Jaap. Gotta say I prefer the eagle, but it's important to not take ourselves too seriously, and having a bit of fun at our own expense is important.

Those look nice! I like how the footpegs are mounted forward.

I need to read up on the carbon form...but there are only three allotropes- graphitic, diamond, and buckyballs. I know it ain't diamond (good point, though), I doubt it's buckballs, since that's $1000s/gram, so I'm left with graphite. Besides, isn't a lot of the material in CF just the epoxy that holds it stiff? OK, enough stream of (un)consciousness...I'll go read. Hey Jaap, where's the reading smilie???

And I have a set of the "Guzzi Ergal Adjustable" pegs. They don't move much of anthing, but they do look cool. The MI setup or the MPH setup will go a lot farther for comfort. I ended up making my own before theirs was available. John Henry, I've seen the one's on Frank W's bike. Very cool setup. I hope you like them! BTW, I think I saw some aftermarket shift/brake levers from Joe Kenney for the Centauro. They may or may not fit up.

I have no idea, but I do have a RAM clutch in my Eldorado and I like it. But, that said... cabon (graphite) is a lubricant. How does that work out?

2006-2007 International (USA ain't Milan) Motorcycle Shows
jrt replied to dlaing's topic in Meetings, Clubs & Events
Dammit, nowhere even close. Isn't the metropolis of Cedar Rapids good enough? -
Well, the down side is that you still crashed. The upside (and it's a big one) is that now you know why. You won't have any nagging doubts about what remote series of coincidences might have caused it. Also, you've provided the rest of us a valuable lesson. Thanks for posting- J

Thanks for the pictures link, Paul. Even though I'm being a smartass, I do enjoy looking at motorcycle porn. Pretty easy to see where this guy's priorities are, lol. http://public.fotki.com/warsaw666/eicma2006gnoccacontest/

What's this about? Was KTM having a bad hair day?

That is a good song. I have it on my ipod.... There's a (crappy) tune by "cake" that specifically mentions Moto Guzzi- Cake Motorcade of Generosity (1994) Rock'n'Roll Lifestyle Well, your CD collection looks shiny and costly. How much did you pay for your bad Moto Guzzi? And how much did you spend on your black leather jacket? Is it you or your parents in this income tax bracket? Now tickets to concerts and drinking at clubs, Sometimes for music that you haven't even heard of. And how much did you pay for your rock'n'roll t-shirt That proves you were there, That you heard of them first? How do you afford your rock'n'roll lifestyle? How do you afford your rock'n'roll lifestyle? How do you afford your rock'n'roll lifestyle? Ah, tell me. How much did you pay for the chunk of his guitar, The one he ruthlessly smashed at the end of the show? And how much will he pay for a brand new guitar, One which he'll ruthlessly smash at the end of another show? And how long will the workers keep building him new ones? As long as their soda cans are red, white, and blue ones. And how long will the workers keep building him new ones? As long as their soda cans are red, white, and blue ones. Aging black leather and hospital bills, Tattoo removal and dozens of pills. Your liver pays dearly now for youthful magic moments, But rock on completely with some brand new components. How do you afford your rock'n'roll lifestyle? How do you afford your rock'n'roll lifestyle? How do you afford your rock'n'roll lifestyle? Excess ain't rebellion. You're drinking what they're selling. Your self-destruction doesn't hurt them. Your chaos won't convert them. They're so happy to rebuild it. You'll never really kill it. Yeah, excess ain't rebellion. You're drinking what they're selling. Excess ain't rebellion. You're drinking, You're drinking, You're drinking what they're selling.

At least they don't blow relays.

I saw these two links off a site for physics based games. Both are fun- this one is hard as heck: http://www.miniclip.com/games/trial-bike/en/practice/ This one has cooler graphics http://www.teagames.com/games/tgmotocross2/play.php How far can you get?

Do a search for "fenda extenda". This has come up before. I did this awhile back...couple years ago, I guess. They work great, and this mod really does help keep the front of the engine cleaner. I do have to admit- yours looks like a nicer job- These pics were taken as I was installing it- I've cleaned up the edges a bit more now....yours still is nicer. For the fork tubes, one cheap fix that I've seen is to cut a rectangle ~2 X 3" out of a 2 L coke bottle (or whatever soda you drink). Tape or otherwise affix it to the front side of the fork sliders and it protects the tubes. Use a clear bottle and no-one can see it.

Is There a Paint that's a Reasonable Match for Ohlins Yellow?
jrt replied to Greg Field's topic in Technical Topics
If you send me your forks, I'll look into it and test many varieties of paint for both color and abrasion resistance. I might not get them back to you very quickly, as I'm a slow worker. -
Me either. Maybe it only works on the greenies?

That's what Scotch is for. You old enough to drink, Ben?

GET OFF MY LAWN, KID!

Oh, that clears it right up!

No I didn't read it, and that's very interesting. Goes to show why I'm not an economist...nor rich.
