  1. Ha! 100% right. We are just trying to help you spend your money Scud. Feel free to delete my post(s) Docc
  2. Try a different USB port? For some reason mine only works in one port. It’s been a while since I logged onto Guzzidiag but I remember a similar problem.
  3. My flavor of the month pairing with a big heavy donk like a Guzzi is an old school 2t. Vintage track bike? Check. Totally tuneable to the perpetual tinkerer? Check. Lightweight? Check. Parts are abundant and cheap, plus they are stupid fun! No shortage of answers when a guy is looking at bikes,eh?
  4. It’s only 400 miles away, there would probably be a new wife available for somebody IF I went though...
  5. That Scout looks like fun!
  6. I guess if I HAD to ride an adventure bike. I like it for what it is. The engine is exciting though!
  7. So Vents, were you making motorcycle sounds and pointlessly leaning in your car while driving this beautiful stretch of road? I would’ve...
  8. Just got my Joe Kenny guards, they are freaking beautiful. Maybe too pretty for my bike...
  9. Where are you guys seeing the break happen? On mine it was the small 90 that rides on the arm. It seemed to wear a groove on that spot from the sharp edge riding on the soft steel of the arm, fatiguing the spring.
  10. 48 degrees(f) misty, damp and probably right in the middle of the whitetail deer rut. I haven’t been on a bike in what seems like months but is probably only a couple weeks. Probably last ride of the year. Bummer.
  11. Man, I went the opposite route last winter and switched to the early dimmer dash. Probably just because it was novel to me at the time.... either way those speedhut gauges look great.
  12. The eccentric adjuster, it’s a big slotted adjustment with a lock nut of some sort.A 1/16th of a turn is too much!
  13. Thanks for the write up. Helluva V11 steward.
  14. Thanks for the heads up!
  15. Wow! Thanks as usual for taking us along.
  16. I think I picked mine up for 2.5k, with running issues. Without this forum I’d have been waaay over my head and at least a grand into it.
  17. As far as “nimbleness” goes, the best mod I did on my 02 was to raise the fork tubes 5-8mm above the triples. Improved tip in and made the bike much more neutral.
  18. Hey look a starter! Just like my bike. I think that might be the only similarity to any production Guzzi.
  19. Never mind, I saw the red seat with Öhlins and got excited...
  20. Mobil 1 “V-twin” and redline “heavy” or “v-twin” trans.
  21. Scura “R”, super cool!
  22. No, I guess it doesn’t. @ PJPR, I have read Two Wheels Through Terror. Amazing story! Some great suggestions, some that I’d forgotten the titles but wanted to read. Thanks guys. Keep em coming
  23. Winter is coming for some of us, I suppose summer is coming for some of us too. So I’m looking for good moto-books, Guzzi or otherwise. What do you guys recommend? “The Perfect Vehicle” by Melissa Holbrook (?) Awesome read I’ve got the Colombo Guzzi book. Not bad, very informative. I’ve read a couple of Ed Milich’s books. One part Bukowski one part Kevin Cameron. Again alright. Been meaning to check out some of Jack Lewis’ books. Anybody check out his stuff?
  24. That was a great little Sunday morning read. It kinda gave me the cliffs notes on a book I’d been meaning to read. So cool. Speaking of books....
  25. Glad to see your shopping for a v11 either way, foto!
