What are they on now, euro4? With stricter emissions the hope for an air cooled sportish machine are waning. That would be my hope a euro4 street sport with good components and looks to match.

Nothing too special on the pre inspection for these bikes. A Roper Plate might add value to me a Power Commander wouldn't. Good quality relays under the seat, tappy valves and a funny sounding clutch also good. The bike may or may not speak to you they are quirky.

Borescope in the spark plug hole to see if there is obvious valve contact? Are you sure you were on compression stroke when you adjusted valves?

So many cool details! I remember seeing a Furia(?) at a shop once it was a face only a mother could love but I would not be past taking it for a rip.

Exhaust leak? I'm sure somebody has mentioned this but does the sound change clutch in or out? Hard to help somebody who's forgotten more than I know....

The two different colored clock needles tells me the 10k mile claim might be false. On the positive I think I can make out a "sloper line". Either way pretty sure I'll be homeless if another bike follows me home...

Those motostudio bikes are too cool! I talked to one of the owners at last years WI rally. So two vintage Brit bikes and a 40 year old Italian bike riding from the NW to the SE? Too cool! You guys are my heroes.

Mine goes on... sometimes, sometimes not, sometimes not at all. Really there has never been any rhyme or reason to it, warm, cold, hot, doesn't matter.
