  1. I'm mostly with Chuck. Do you have good tension on your wave washers at the tappers? Are your plugs coated in oil?
  2. Nice group of machines.
  3. Tank bags are where it's at!
  4. Im quite sure these are some of the best looked after v11s around, if I only had the $ for that Scura....
  5. Those are, Docc and Dave are the ugliest modern bikes.
  6. Hope you guys have a helluva good time.
  7. The problem with the Furia is that eventually you have to get off of it and look at it..... Probably a fun ride though. I've seen an orange one before in person still not my cup of tea.
  8. Work of art!
  9. How's your timing sensor look? Nice and square to the case? Otherwise might be time to research the "Go-Winkie" light.
  10. Did it break?
  11. Welcome!
  12. The fact that the person riding that old a** Guzzi (bacon slicer?) and has luggage denotes that they have been putting some miles in is so cool. My kind of people the Guzzi type! Great trip! Thanks for taking us along.
  13. That Magni fairing ups the price. If it were me, I'd mount the Magni and sell the Lemans fairing....
  14. Well that does not suck at all!
  15. Welcome! Workarounds are the norm around here. To paraphrase Dave Richardson, "stock is always best except when it isn't".
  16. That's gonna be a helluva fun trip.
  17. Waa, waaaaah... Only YOU can prevent V11 fires. (In my best smokey the bear)
  18. I get around 36mpg, I mostly beat the heck out of my bike. Power comes on around 4500rpm you're really in the power by 6500, revving past 7k torque starts to taper. You're running pods? Have you set the TPS? Valve adjust? CO trim? That's where I'd start.
  19. So Scud, now that you've basically got three (4 really) different iterations of the v11 under your belt. Early short frame, 02+ long frame and the almighty Scura, hollow front axle, single plate, narrow rear rim etc. Can you name a favorite? Noticeable differences? Pretty sure I know the answer...
  20. How's the fresh clutch anyway Docc?
  21. Super respectable! Three Guzzis and a 1940s (?) Indian. Glad to see you back in action.
  22. Last round fin lemans right? Looks like fun.
  23. Worked on my 71' R5... for now.
  24. These followed me home the other day... I found somebody that makes some cool looking semi period rearsets. CB400f handlebars and some other minor bits here and there. Of course I just got her running correctly with stockish setup.
  25. "A gentleman's sport bike" A quote that I really don't like and is said about a lot of bikes and somehow the V11 Sport and Lemans get called this too. Nothing against gentlemen but I really feel like the v11 is a blue collar machine. For the self sufficient who in my case need the help of a great community (v11lemans.com). Arguments welcome....
