Ha! I have never ridden anything that modern, but I briefly owned an 07 gixxer 750 and it was exactly how you describe it. Definitely less power but sooo stable and like you said the shifting to chassis interference almost nada. Somehow though the challenge of riding a more analog machine is more romantic in my pea size brain... Fun though these hyper machines nonetheless, thanks for sharing.

That exhaust on the greenie! I kinda like the Rizoma mirrors on the Tenni, minus the branding. Could not care less who owned it though. Cool find though.

I think the replacement spring might actually be an issue.

No friction modifiers (can't remember why?) and extra zinc you should be ok. Just change it every 3k-4k and you're good.

That thing could be pink with glitter I'd still ride the hell out of it.

I've run Mobil "V-Twin" 20w50 for the last 30k+ miles in my v11. Starts easy and my oil consumption has never increased(1/2q every 3k).

@Footgoose, this might be a winter project. I'm thinking of replacing with another replacement spring. The dudes at MG Cycle said they hadn't heard of any other reports of breaking. Weighing against coming up with a home brew system and the fettling it's going to take for it to be right, will for sure have me going into the pre-selector a few times. On top of that I don't have a way to accurately drill the hole flat. In the Midwest the riding season is short and I have a little bit of a ride coming up I don't want to miss. Going to live dangerously...

And my new pawl spring broke. Couldn't have happened at a better time (in my driveway), still sucks she only made it 3k miles. Is there a new design now? Who sells it?

I love the color of my Lemans' wheels (dark), but lighter wheels imo look more athletic as opposed to a more rugged look of dark wheels. Probably because I'm a child of the 80s and 90s think Kevin Schwantz/early 90s sportbikes. That's what my Rorsach knee jerk reaction sees.

It is possible to make those early SPs look good....jk. Some cool Guzzi's, what's the story on the dark green one?
