Good point! Just went for a little spin its around 51(f) outside today. I suck horrendously at kick starting bikes! When I did get her fired though! I think I'm in love. This little thing is a riot.

It is a 5 speed. I believe it's pre 6 speed gearbox though... @Jerry. It is tempting to do some porting work. In the end I'll probably just do an expansion chamber and jets.... who knows though?.

Yeah Scud my plans are very little alterations. Chain guard could go for sure but the super 70s Japanese rear fender has appeal to me. No worries nothing will be cut!

@Dave. I really thought my 71 super beetle's brakes were not too bad. Maybe I have to bed these in a bit more. @Craig. Never thought of that, very true.

Pull the starter. See if you can turn it by hand. To my puny mind it's either starter or solenoid. Right? -

Sorry buddy. We need to get some good juju in this thread..... After owning my v11 for around five years I think I finally managed to get a couple of squirts of grease in that front U-joint!

You have a Rosso? Pretty sure those have the extra frame support. Unlikely the trans case is cracked, probably the liquid gasket around the trans panels has given up. Mine has been weeping for years I'll get to it eventually.

Main ground is behind the seat lock, usually on a transmission bolt. Have you groomed the wires to the starter? -
I've always run .006/.008". I wouldn't think .002" would make much of a difference. But, out of curiosity why that loose Scud?
