    Decent Tune-up

    Should just snap off
  3. New spring same thing....
  4. Talked to one of the guys over at MG around noon yesterday and before 10am today parts are in hand! They don't carry a ton of spine frame stuff but every order I've ever had with them was shipped same day. I do live in the same state as them but even when I wasn't they got me orders super fast. Just had to give credit where it's due.
  5. I got the return spring from MG Cycle. Me saying "it doesn't match the old one" might be a little extreme. It's not quite right and I might've somehow bent it. Either way I called MG today and they were more than helpful in taking the time to check out my newly ordered spring while I tried to explain how it fits in a six speed box. Here's a pic of the spring that was making contact with the case. You can see it starting to separate while I've got the two ends of the spring together. Doesn't look like much but my old spring is flat as can be.
  6. Good info on relays here http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19601&page=2&do=findComment&comment=218046
  7. It shows TDC of either the right side=D or left side=S. Useful for valve adjustment.
  8. No matter what I do with the return spring it drags on the crescent shape part of the casting. The spring doesn't match the old one.... gotta get a new one I guess.
  9. Thanks Scud, that's what I thought. Just needed a vote of confidence!
  10. Also is my pawl spring sitting right? This is a fresh one. It just seems like on the selector side it is barely seated.
  11. Is the sheet metal stop plate under the cog, oriented correctly? Should be in neutral.
  12. Went for a quick and...chilly ride yesterday. My shifting sucks! After re-reading this thread I'm submitting to Phils advice. I'm taking the plunge and attempting to do this procedure.... as best I can.
  13. I suspect the guzzi flywheel man figures a lot of things are "under weight".... Carry on just here for comical relief.
  14. Yeah, it's a little on the cryptic side...
  15. Me and Meinolf had been e-mailing about this a bit. I asked the same thing as you Docc and Meinolf said: "No. GuzziDiag will give you an angle based on the TPS lookup table in the BIN currently loaded, which is using the values for a PF3C. Catch22,,,," Basically it needs to be measured physically.
  16. 3-4 up shift is a fairly common false neutral for me when I was playing with the eccentric adjuster. 1/16 of a turn is too much when playing with this adjustment imo.
  17. Trust me you're in good hands if Jerry is helping!
  18. Is that not "crabbing" the frame?
  19. Honestly I would say run through it with Docc's "decent tune up" listed in the how-to subforum. With a stock setup and even modified exhaust it should run real close to good. You have stock air box? Checked sensors?
  20. Is nobody else seeing the Vincent!
  21. The Coppa's are nicely set up. I'm not a fan of the frame mounted fairing personally.
  22. Tell em you'll pass on the guzzi but that old British clunker in the background might be do-able.
  23. Mine has a bit of play too.
  24. Glad it was simple!
  25. You've got the gasket on top of the Roper plate and below there are (3?) oil galleys surrounded by little loops of gasket material. I'd check there I know I've had a gasket break at that point before.
