  1. What an awesome thing to run into. Thanks for the pics.
  2. Not sure if he was or not. Honestly couldn't pick him out of a crowd of one. Pretty sure the name comes from the riders... good people though, really.
  3. Anybody in? Next Sunday. I missed the spring run but will make this one. Calling our south WI, east Iowa and north IL members!
  4. I have mine mounted. Seems like it unearthed a few issues I was having with my transmission and have been fettling with it since. But up shifts are much smoother and more positive. Thanks again to Chuck and Phil.
  5. That is freakin awesome! Fool proof.
  6. Not a bad breakdown (as in mechanical issue) a good spine showing too. Glad to see JRDs champagne Lemans made it!
  7. So what was the breakdown(s)?
  8. Super jealous, sounds like fun!
  9. Looks sweet! Do we get a sound byte?
  10. I've used the deoxit contact cleaner quite a bit really great stuff. They also make a "sealant" type thin lubricant in an aerosol can mainly for potentiometers and such (I.e. The dials on your amps and old receivers) to keep out corrosion on more sensitive electronics. One of there most interesting products is the conductive dielectric grease.... Yes conductive grease that has microscopic pieces of copper in it. I use it quite a bit at work and it really helps clean up irregular electric signals. That's all I got. Not sure if deoxit contact cleaner will make a huge difference over the stuff you use on a v11 but for more critical connections it's the stuff! @ foto, is that what you traded your v11 for? You're younger than I would've imagined.
  11. Fresh sealing washers have worked for me in the past.
  12. Thanks Chuck!
  13. Sounds like a good idea to me. I've mixed n matched tires before with no ill effects.
  14. Congrats to Docc and his bike! Bummer about the freak accident footgoose....
  15. Transmissions are a bit of a mystery to me too. Seems like a solid if not imprecise piece of the v11.... Until Lucky Phil's thread/invention.
  16. What will bikes like this look like in ten years? Will they seem as ridiculous as $30k(us) choppers seem now? I mean granted cafe bikes are more fun to ride and more practical...maybe.
  17. I saw one on CL not that long ago for around 5k. It was in not near as nice as that one but still...
  18. I whole- heartedly agree!
  19. Ground for the starter....?
  20. One here
  21. Check your relays/fuses and see what kind of voltage you across the terminals of your battery.
  22. At least you're not saving the rods....
  23. I think we found a tank guy!
  24. Aye, what he said.
  25. Me too!
