  1. Back at ya buddy!
  2. Amazingly the cork survived intact.
  3. Me and Roxy the boxer-mutt made the trip, followed by my bike a week and a half later. I used Haulbikes and their $499 summer special. They were ok...bike was late and when it showed up there was some minor damage. No worries she is no show bike.... Glad to have my bike back and in an awesome motorcycling area! Gotta mind the gravel, white tails and tar snakes though. Totally forgot about that stuff being in Florida for so long. All is good!
  4. Congrats! As Scud and Docc suggested. You will be amazed at what a difference a good "v11lemans.com tune up" will do!
  5. And these bikes are wholly subjective machines. If we wanted the absolute spec sheet best machine we would be on a yamazuka. Make em fun and tinker till your hearts content!
  6. Wow not too many of those v65s around. Oddbike had an article on Guzzi dual sport bikes, like you say waaay ahead of the curve.
  7. Im jealous! Hard to resist that OG Daytona!
  8. Dude can't resist anything with a red frame... I'd take any heavy duty Laverda i.e. Jota or SFC Mk I Lemans or O.G. V7 sport Yamaha SRX-6 +1 Foto for the KTooM Duke (any Duke they are all sweet) This list could get long...
  9. That is one way to avoid riding through Nebraska!
  10. Do you have any play at the rear wheel? Disc?
  11. From the factory that is.
  12. Pretty sure the ECUs with the titanium map say "titanium" or "racing ECU" something like that...
  13. That scura won't last long...
  14. I had always thought tighter clearance means more accurate fueling. With the downside being a risk to burnt valves. But my experience is that looser settings the Guzzi seems to run/start better.
  15. Guzzidiag is a wonderful tool for measuring temp as long as the temp sensor is in spec. Ask Meinolf haha.... Those results are interesting, as my valves seem to get louder as my engine warms up. Makes sense.
  16. @Scud of your two v11s mine would be last choice to put in a living room. She's held together with JB weld, mismatched parts, electrical tape, various brackets and a chianti cork keeps the roaches from getting in my bell housing... Thanks for the shipping suggestions. Looks like Haulbikes is running a summer special for $499! With 15k insurance.
  17. The guy that owns the carbon job does post here every once in a while. He's got a magni faired greenie I was trying to buy at one point.
  18. My SOHC Volvo calls for valves to be checked warm! I just sold a VW Beetle that had push rod adjusters similar to a Goose and I believe if you had to check em warm they were tighter. My concern would be plug removal though...
  19. Funny you never have a problem finding someone to "store" your Italian bike. Just got done talking to some buddies in my hometown of Minneapolis and people actually volunteered to "store" my bike. Since I've been trying to talk my dad into a V7 for a while. think I'll send it to his barn until I can get her a proper home. Nobody was volunteering when she was eating her wiring harness though...
  20. Never have been able to put more than 4.8 gal. in her... It's all making sense now!
  21. Pretty sure I am one of few people that move from FL to WI...
  22. I have seen a few of his builds (Santiago) he seems to utilize the spine framed Guzzis quite a bit. Saw a carbon fiber sport 1100 that remained in my dreams (and nightmares) for a couple months after. Good taste but not very functional . Would be cool as a second or third bike.
  23. Some folks have had leaking from the sensor itself, is what Gstallions was saying. Fresh o-ring and some "hylomar" is what has kept mine dry for a while now.
  24. Probably will end up shipping her. My dog might not fit in there, but my daughter would be the coolest kid at daycare if I picked her up in that... Might end up needing a new place to live though.
