  1. Damn! 21? Bit of a fan?
  2. Guzzi's Warranty dept. must not have liked you Docc.
  3. Bad battery new one coming on Fri.
  4. In my experience a bad master cyl. gives you good pressure that slowly drops out. Like brakes are there then at the same pressure you slowly lose the lever. Sounds like a loose connection that let some air in, i.e. bleed nipple or banjo connection. Had a similar issue on my clutch.
  5. Looks like I'm going to have to wait until next weekend to test her out. My clutch lever doesn't fit and my battery isn't taking a charge, hopefully under warranty... I took a look at your map, can't wait to test the impatiently waiting V11 out! Even through all the struggles with these Bin files I still enjoy tinkering with this stuff, plus I have learned a lot. Besides it's still easier than swapping out jets and rebuilding carbs.
  6. Welcome! What prospective V11 model are you after?
  7. Sweet! Thanks Ken I should report back by sunday or monday.
  8. Could you just send me the map? Or do you think I might have damaged my Ecu?

    Bummer Day...

I had some success bending my clip-on, not perfect but it'll work. Got some new levers but unless I'm missing something I think I got the wrong clutch lever.
  10. Good news! Think i'm gonna order up a gear lever. Starting cool off down here.
  11. That would be awesome. No cold start issues?

    Bummer Day...

You guessed it, torch. I tried before i read about your boiling trick. There is still time for me to try on the clip-on.
  13. At this point it's not the miles it's the age that will have broken down the seals on your fork. But if it's not weeping replace the oil and ride her! IMO
  14. The only thing stopping me from going to woodcraft etc. clip ons is the great bar end/ vibration suppressant that guzzi provided. Then again it limits my mirror choices. The gear lever WAS bent until I tried to fix it now it's broke. I actually really like the Harpers upgraded homebrew lever. If I can't source a used one that will be the one i end up with. This no motorcycle riding stuff sucks!
  15. gear selector lever, and possibly a cilp-on bar (haven't tried to bend it back yet)
  16. Will do, but it might be a while before I can test ride her. Is there any special thing to watch out for when charging an Odyssey battery? Off topic I know but I thought I read somewhere that they need a special procedure.
  17. Anyway, if there's a problem after changing the bin, go back to the last known-to-be good map. I foolishly played with the "cold start duration" on the original bin thinking it was innocent enough, apparently I saved it after that. Now no matter what I do it doesn't revert.

    Bummer Day...

In theory the JB Weld shouldn't have to hold much weight, but I've never been a huge fan of the stuff myself. That being said I can't justify spending the money on a new timing cover before trying this. Seems to hold well right now, gave a real strong pull and it didn't budge! The weird part is that the steel bracket that holds the stand seems to be bent. My holes aren't even close to lining up. This is the single piece steel part# 01433400. The thing is double gusseted and looks super solid, doesn't seem like it could bend....? Plus there isn't a scratch on it. I tried heating up my shifter to see if I could bend it..... Let's hope the JB Weld holds up a little better. My needs list is down to a Clip-on tube and a shifter lever.

Left side clip-on a pair is ok and a gear lever. Pm me I'm good about responding usually

    Bummer Day...

I'm hoping that the extra length of my new bolt will help. I've heard some amazing things that JBweld held together. Of course none that I can voucher for. The welding thing just seemed too difficult, so I'm gonna try this first...
  21. Keep me posted. BTW, my Odyssey is on the charger.

    Bummer Day...

I know it's hard to make out my pictures, but I hd broken off the main bolt that secures the kickstand bracket thingy. Not the bolt but the aluminum. So after much mulling over I decided to JB-Weld the aluminum back on, then tap the hole that runs all the way through the timing cover and use a bolt that is roughly 5/8" longer to help secure the bracket back on... Hopefully it'll hold . I've got some knock-off pazzo levers coming soon. Then I will try to bend the shifter piece back somewhat straight, if not I've been eyeing the Harper's upgraded shifter. Same with the clip-on really all I need is the tube, but we'll see what I come up with. Can't wait to ride again, drives me crazy!
  23. So basically we messed with something we shouldn't have? Any idea how to "un-taint" one of these maps?
  24. The most comprehensive TPS guide is the one listed in the FAQ sub-forum. Just don't expect to get it right on the first try... Word to the wise: Blast some carb cleaner into your throttle bodies with the airbox tubes disconnected to clean out all the old gas residue, before setting the 150mv. Also, completely disconnect your cold start cable (two screws).
  25. I had checked the faults w/ GD came up good. My battery is a relatively new Odyssey with a healthy charging system. I will still try reloading my map though (bad connection at the alligator clips?). I feel like for some strange reason my cold start got screwed up.
