So what do you guys suppose happens to all these original cases from 02?
I only ask because i'm looking for a timing cover, not sure those were under warranty.
Sorry for the threadjack!

I thought i read somewhere that the Lemans were a smaller headlight/bucket than the sports....?
-
I always love those Morini 3-1/2's
-
Is that a head gasket? Probably too late but just out of curiousity how often do you torque the heads?
-
I think we're gonna need a bigger bolt.
Even with my extra length on the replacement bolt for the side stand it still isn't holding. Starting to bend, I'm having to keep a 2"x2" piece of wood with me to keep a reasonable lean. Thinkin about tapping down into the hole as far as I can then sourcing appropriate bolt, if that doesnt work then my cheap ass will have to pony up the dough for a new tombstone/timing cover.
Cross your fingers for me.

Not sure which part I like better the S1000 that couldn't hang with you, or the R100rs that was cooking those corners. Nice read, thanks for the write up.
Still some life in these old-ish girls!

If you guys go to Frenchies, I want in on this! I'll buy the first round!!
South'n Beer&Grouper Raid!
Ha! We wouldn't have to worry about those pesky curves messing up our ride down here.
-
Frenchies is a great place. The bay area is not bad, although its funny how I miss the winters of the nord'.
I have all my parts, i might end up with the only right side kickstand v11 though. My current setup leans pretty bad. The things I do to save a buck...

Finally got the levers that fit! Also bought a homebrew gear lever from Harper's, pretty quality part.
Funny story, I had just installed my new levers (thanks for the tip bikelee) and on my initial test ride I way over tightened the adjustment screw (the one that on the stock lever is blobbed with some sort of glue) at first I was ok but after a few stops and getting smoked by a Fiat I realized what I had done. It got so bad after a few pumps I could hardly move. Backed the screw out a few turns and I was good.
Thought my stupidity might make a few of ya chuckle...
Atleast I'm back on the road

Fantastic!!
That map felt awesome. Not sure if it was a case of my bike being outta commission for so long or not but I don't remember 6th gear pulling so hard. Keep in mind my daily driver is a 71' VW Beetle so that could be a little jaded, but either way I felt like reaching for a 7th gear thinking I was in 5th not paying attention to the speedo.
Crazy how much the ignition was retarded, otherwise I didn't see much that was changed. Somehow though cold start was perfect, better than it ever was. No black smoke!
Thanks a ton Ken!... Like I've told a few forum members round' here if you ever find your self down here in Florida you've got some beers coming your way.

Very nice.

That's definitely a true Guzzista warranty.
-
Damn! 21? Bit of a fan?
-
Guzzi's Warranty dept. must not have liked you Docc.
-
Bad battery new one coming on Fri.
-
In my experience a bad master cyl. gives you good pressure that slowly drops out. Like brakes are there then at the same pressure you slowly lose the lever.
Sounds like a loose connection that let some air in, i.e. bleed nipple or banjo connection.
Had a similar issue on my clutch.
-
Looks like I'm going to have to wait until next weekend to test her out.
My clutch lever doesn't fit and my battery isn't taking a charge, hopefully under warranty...
I took a look at your map, can't wait to test the impatiently waiting V11 out! Even through all the struggles with these Bin files I still enjoy tinkering with this stuff, plus I have learned a lot.
Besides it's still easier than swapping out jets and rebuilding carbs.
-
Welcome! What prospective V11 model are you after?
-
Sweet! Thanks Ken I should report back by sunday or monday.
-
Could you just send me the map? Or do you think I might have damaged my Ecu?
-
-
Good news! Think i'm gonna order up a gear lever. Starting cool off down here.
-
That would be awesome. No cold start issues?
-
You guessed it, torch. I tried before i read about your boiling trick. There is still time for me to try on the clip-on.

I think you will enjoy messing with some of the parameters. Just stay away from the cold start maps!.... Far Away!
