  1. Helio jim, if you ever need a full time mc nanny i can send references.
  2. Italian born, swiss tuned. You cant go wrong. I would probably pony up the cash for the quat-d exhaust. I love how it exposes the skeletal swingarm.
  3. I can't decide how I feel about that green Ghezzi, watch the youtube vids on it and the noise it makes is amazing. It's probably a little too clean and purdy for me. Either way it's a great deal.
  4. Nice to see her in one piece!..... Almost. I hope it works as good as it looks.
  5. Gave it another go. I popped off the little cover that is supposed to be non removable. No luck. Don't know if im gonna be able to hacksaw that remaining nut off the back cover. Kind of frustrating... Between the non functioning odometer, gen. Light, turn signal indicator, faded needles, and somewhat shaky tach. It might be high time to replace the whole thing.
  6. Ive learned the hard way about the two different sizes up front....
  7. Old thread, but I wanted to bend all ye guzzisti's ears if I may. Now along with my generator light still not working my turn signal light indicator (on dash) stopped working too. While I had the ignition switch apart for cleaning I tried going at the dash from behind, 1, 2, 3, of the acorn nuts come off but the 4th will not. Any ideas on how to get that dash open with no access from front or behind? if not guess I'll be bustin' her open, hopefully the part is still cheap.
  8. My knee jerk reaction is always to check your main ground for instances like this.
  9. Looks like fun. How old do you suppose that Chang Jiang of his is?... As much as I appreciate a pristine bike somehow a well used machine like that always piques my interest more.
  10. Gotta love a pilot that lets you take the controls for a while! Sounds like it was a blast, I can't help but imagine these guys looking like anything less than Mongolian Raiders.
  11. We were e-mailing, seems like he got his internet figured out. Also sounds like he had an experience with the sidecar tour.
  12. Check that timing sensor first. Otherwise you don't need to lower the engine just support it as you will need to remove the front subframe. No special tools required maybe keep a seal for the front crankshaft on hand (mine leaked after).
  13. ps my e-mail is billjaszczak@gmail.com if thats easier to access
  14. Beijing sidecar tours...Sounds hilarious. Booking mobile hotline (from 9 am to 9 pm Beijing time) (+86) 139 1133 4947 Office address 朝阳区幸福村中路杰座大厦西边利世鸿业置业有限公司对面 – 100027 Chao Yang District – Xingfu Cun Zhonglu – Jieizuo Dasha Xibian – Lishihongye Zhiyeyouxiangongsi Duimian – 100027 Sounds like you have to eat the Roast Duck and visit the Great Wall. Not sure what exactly you'd be interested in but the museums all seem kinda lame. Sorry the farthest east I've been is Daytona Beach. Let me know what you need googled I'll keep checking back.

Thanks for the heads up. Love your articles in motorcyclist!
  16. Been commuting lately on the Guzzi, neary a groan from the pump. Seems like the kill-switch clean must've done it. Although I'm probably due for an ignition clean up as there seems to be rash of ignition switch related issues in guzzi world lately. Still have to check the test points you sent me Roy. You don't just jump into these things
  17. First batch of questions. Why are there two start enrichment maps? When changing fuel (maps) is it necessary to change both left and right cyl. maps? or is the base (left) the only one to change? Why do the fuel/ignition maps show what I assume is the throttle opening percentage in a non linear fashion i.e. 1.0, 2.0, 4.2-60.9, 84.9?

    Running GREAT!

Well said Andy, its a very subjective bike. The only bike that after buying one the only bike i wanted was another.
  20. Dont think mine cranks below 12.3 or so.
  21. No idea why its supposedly bad. But why not bump/push start? Glad to hear its something simple BTW.
  22. It was butter smooth now it shakes a little nothing major. Gets worse as revs climb. Ive got a little more to go on now. Thanks Hubert
  23. First time i set the TPS i had a good amount of goop in the TBs preventing them from closing all the way. Might be a good idea to clean them up with some carb cleaner if you havent already.
  24. PO installed the manual petcock. Guess i should see if there is a screen in there.
  25. Hard to say for sure as the problem is intermittent but the few times so far are good. It makes a struggling unhealthy sound when it primes.
