  1. Welcome to V11 world. I came to V11 from a Monster. Impossible to get at stuff round all that scaffolding: needed some funny shaped tools and double jointed fingers so didn't do as much on it myself as I shoulda.Do nearly everything myself now on the Guzzi. Mind you I need to... :-D Hard to find a workshop I can trust TBH. Moto Louigi near Bath are very good with Ducati , and I'm sure they could service / repair Moto Guzzi as well. Having said, I have looked around this forum and can see tons of advice on how to do most things. The only thing I'm cautious about is the TPS work. Had the bike delivered yesterday , it looks fantastic . I wish I could get out on it - it's been raining here all day , and the bike has a brand new set of tyres on. Seeing that its new to me, I'd rather wait for the roads to dry out a little.
  2. Hi, Another new V11 member here - from sunny South Wales. I will get delivery of a 2004 V11 Ballabio tomorrow. Bike is in excellent condition and has hardly been used with only 8,000 miles. I had a Norge a few years ago, but just didn't get a feel good factor and had a few niggles in terms of the previous owner not having looked after it that well. I did like the motor though, and I'm sure that the gel with the V11 will develop. Quite looking forward to being able to maintain my own bike - had a Monster 1100 before this, and it just didn't suit my character really. I'll post some images in the next few days.
  3. Thanks for the advice - I think I'll decline the Tenni - I wouldn't have the patience / tools / skill to tackle this job, it would be not financially worth the risk etc.
  4. Hi I am very interested in buying a 2003 Tenni - low miles in excellent condition. My only concern is that I've read reports about the clutch exploding with the single plate clutches. I'm pretty sure the Tenni has a single plate clutch. Any advice greatly appreciated. I'd even consider buying the bike with a view to changing the clutch out to the conventional two plate system, any pointers to previous threads? I've done a search but can't seem to find much info on the Tenni clutch. Regards Denis
  5. Hi Just joined the forum - I've only recently bought a 2008 Norge and find it great for touring two up with my wife. I live in the UK and would like some advice please. I've got the Guzzi bug - it feels like the perfect motorcycle for me - plenty of torque and character. I'm considering buying a 2003 V11 Sports with20,000 miles on it. I would just use this for relatively fine weather riding solo. I would appreciate any opinions - I'm going to book a test ride tomorrow - the only issue for me might be the position on the bike, the Norge is very comfortable , but I'd probably only ride the V11 for two hour rides at max. Thanks in anticipation Regards Denis
