I met the PO owner once. He rode a custom painted blue classic Guzzi and said he owned several Guzzis, didn't internet and connect with many local Guzzi riders. I didn't make the connection until his collection came up on Craig's List from a Wild Guzzi post. I recognized the blue Eldo (or Ambassador). The best I can tell is that he liked to work on his bikes and custom paint them. I would guess that it's a primo bike. And I have to agree that Elkader is a rally that you want to attend. You'll do a Saturday evening parade through town.

2nd weekend Oct is Okla Campout. First is Lindale.
-
Ship it? Hell no!. Fly and ride. Ride down the Pacific Coast. No brainer.
-
I must agree with you. It's an entertaining ride and despite owing high powered bikes, this one doesn't seem under powered, sorta just right.

Paul, if you or Chuck are interested, recommend a date. Remember, Halloween can mean short pants or freezing rain.
-
Then LeRoy, we have two "yeses" and 26 "maybes" ? (math challenged) How about the 3rd weekend of 23 September ? That should get us past the Ouray & Mo Kan rallies and before the Tex & OK rallies.
-
-
now yer talkin', Docc. Cross the Big Muddy.
-
OK now the "maybes" are up to what, 6? 17? We're really getting there. Chuck,as many times as I've ridden in the Ozarks and stayed at motels and campsites in Harrison, Eureka Springs, Mountain Home, Yellville, Fayetteville, Bull Shoals, Springfield MO and The Hub, I've never been to The Seville. I think it's time. We won't have to fight for space against rallies and will be more able to pick a convenient weekend there. I'll tell you guys that like Deal's Gap and the Skyway might be a little surprised at the quality and number of roads here. Yeah Docc, I am talking to you. BTW, this isn't just for the Red Frame Society, it means all Spine Frames, Guzzis, (Harleys, MoPeds, etc). there are a few hidden diners in some far off places (like Jasper, Oark & Low Gap) and at least one decent Mexican joint in Mountain View.

yeah, my guy that fixed my transmission did weld the plastic on the starter cover. It was a total kluge. Now, don't get me wrong, If I wanted to repaint the whole thing, it would be OK. I will reiterate that the 3M solution is where you might want to start. In fact my body guy, who is an expert, had to get rid of that weld stuff and clean it up before he could fix it with the 3M. Yes, welding plastic works but to do it it right, plan to paint the piece. Not a viable option for the Greenie IMO. just passing on my experience.

sorry you lost your phone Chuck. I'll bet someone has it and is waiting to be contacted.
-
yep, that little sucker stripped out on mine.
-
found a better place. Recommended by Chuck. http://1929hotelseville.com/ This is an elegant restored old hotel. Not too expensive. Harrison Ark.
-
it's not a show unless you cross the River, Docc. that's 3 "maybes"
-
You know Chuck, they made an announcement regarding an orphaned Samsung phone. It was after dinner before the 50/50. Hell, you could've won the hard luck story if you'd have madeup a story that you lost your phone at the waterfall when being rescued by the Kansas Monties or something. I think I see that phone floating away..... someone search that kid in the red shirt for Chuck's phone.

I'll take that as a "maybe".

nice stuff. Did you ever skype with Dusty's rally? I suppose I was too busy smoking and drinking to know.
-
All this history of Spine Frame sport rides and none in the Ozarks? Certainly a missed opportunity. Fellow lister Leroy and myself were kicking this around last weekend at Dusty's Knot a Guzzi Rally in Kansas. I did a little checking on The Hub website (Jasper Ark) and noticed that some weekends in Sept and Oct had some openings for a potential Rally. Unfortunately the weekend before and on Columbus Day are taken with the Texas and Okla Guzzi rallies, respectively. And if we get no traction this Fall there is always next Spring. The Ozarks IMO are the best riding roads anywhere given, technical challenge, scenery, number of roads, quaint diners and traffic. The Hub is a well worn motel that caters to riders in the middle of the Ozarks. Not a resort by any definition. There are also many other towns in the area with names like Flipin, Yellville, Mountain View, Jasper, Eureka Springs, Bull Shoals that could also be great base camps for a rally. So let's get a little feedback and see if there's any interest west of the Mississippi. http://www.hubinfo.com/

The photo was pretty dark which made it more difficult. And that red is a tough color to match on a good day. But this should be close: that's just plain wrong on many levels
-
I could split the difference with you all have a Spine Frame raid in the Arkansas Ozarks. Perhaps the best motorcycle roads in total anywhere, considering the number of great roads, scenery and traffic.
-
No TV in T11 was why I like the bleacher seats in T1. Pretty good view for most of the track up there, the start/finish, pits, action in T1 and TV for the rest.
-
Nice motorcycles and a great place to live.
-
T11 is a great Gen Adm spot to see the race. The only things missing are bleachers and TV monitor screen.
-
I wrote a line about the content of character but I thought it was in bad even worse taste.

underneath, regardless of color or creed, we all bleed frame red. whether your color be black, silver or green.
