  1. Yeah, the early tanks trap a lot of fuel on the right side. funny, the tank isn't quite symmetrical. It does slightly bulge on the right. what's the fuel capacity?
  2. ran my sport dry with 167 miles and filled it with 4.7 gallons 35 mpg
  3. The Mighty Scura will do power wheelies.. Should be noted that Chuck's Scura is a ringer with aftermarket pistons(and maybe more?),standard bikes don't perform that way! Since I bought my Greenie from Chuck's son, I have no doubt he knows what's what.
  4. The Mighty Scura will do power wheelies.. dirt bike bars
  5. the Sport will lift the front tire just on a "good" launch.
  6. it was cute. it wasn't a quarter mile. It was barely 200 ft. torque + long wheel base = launch
  7. hacksaw the ends.
  8. That sounds like a fueling issue. +1 - Perhaps a good indication for a thorough tune-up (valve adjustment, plugs, TPS/ idle set, throttle body balance). Worth a try! the clutch us just grabby on the disengagement when I goose it.
  9. That sounds like a fueling issue. I think it's a jerky clutch egagement....but don't know why it's only 3rd to 4th. prolly cause I was goosen it hard there

  11. I know when I am riding aggressively and upshift from 3rd to 4th that it kind of sticks & lurches. Just a slight delay and jerk. don't know why it does it. sorta fun too. dont want to hurt it
  12. green sport would be nice
  13. geees guys, I was just speaking generically .....just upgrade to better bearings like I have on my other bikes.
  14. I think mine are too late. It's pretty notchy. If you go to the trouble of taking it apart, why not replace them with hi quality roller bearings?
  15. I am guessing that steering head bearings are weak spot on the early models. my bike handles great and steers smooth but when I was screwing around with it installing the tankbag and pulling the bars back and forth, it feels really notchy pushing it around the garage.
  16. Mate I had the same problem 12mths ago just take the unit to a specialist and get them to strip it and clean and lub it before it shits it self completely. wait? did you have the speedo serviced or the cable?

  18. so what is this thread about?
  19. the solution for the green one was to pressure feed the fluid from the bleeder. be sure to catch the fluid from the reservoir.
  20. mine is still jumping all over. I did lube and it just ran out the bottom. the cable seemed pretty free when I spun it from the transmission side. but this makes me think the cable is the problem. Mine won't set back to zero when sitting still, it will stick at 20 or so, and by blipping the throttle it shakes down to zero. I wonder why the replacement you purchased didn't fit?
  21. I think Carl Allison rebuilt a smashed V11 using a 1100 spine frame. He might have some insight.
  22. If you're talking about rotating the engine to TDC, I just put the bike in like 3rd gear and turn the back wheel. Not too bad with the plugs out. I guess if you didn't have a rear wheel stand that wouldn't work so well. well that's what I do on the EV, but it has a center stand. I am sure bigg ass socket is cheaper than a shop stand.....I was looking through my tool box when I posted. Chuck knows I am a tightwad......BTW, the green bike just pulled 16k miles.
  23. so a 1 1/4 would be just a little too small to fit? oh no matter, my largest is 1 1/16. empties the hot water tank on the RV.
  24. why? horsepower (and your right hand).
  25. how does the ECU map go off? I thought once you have the right flah, you're good to go.
