  1. I was thinking the V11 Sports had Sachs shocks whereas the older spines, i.e.1100 Sports, had WP.
  2. We will be going out to Indy for the MotoGP races there. We have been going there since the F1 races at Indy. Good times. After the way COTA has treated the people that brought the F1 and MOTOGP races to their track (and treating Kevin Schwantz that way is F'd up) I will refrain from giving them my money. Have fun. agree with you regarding KS. COTA seems clueless in planning, ticketing and marketing areas. But it is the best road course in North America. Anyway, it's a days ride, I am staying with a friend, going to visit AF1 and riding in the Hill Country the following Monday. I haven't missed an Indy Moto GP. I fact I went to the Indy 500 last year and plan to do both this year. BTW- it's the weekend previous to the National Rally in Lavigne Ont. I plan to do both. I just retired. See you at Indy. Perhaps Levigne too?
  3. I am riding to COTA for the next GP. Anyone here going too? I'm riding the Greenie, going to go to AF1 social Sat nite. It's great to see Rossi contending again. I'll be rooting for #46 and the Americans.
  4. thanks, I'll pass that on. I've only seen the bike parked in his repair lot, have never touched it. He asked me if I had a shop manual for the Greenie, gave him This Old Tractor website, and thought I'd get some advice from the board.
  5. I am going with Michelin Pilot Road 3 as a replacement rear for the Dunlop Qualifier I have on now.
  6. my local bike mechanic is working on a red frame V11 (not mine) that suffers from intermittent fuel pump failure. I told him I would query the Guzzi community for any common occurrences. I told him relays were a common electrical glitch. I'll pass on any suggestions. thanks
  7. I tried to find 170/60 Pirelli Angel GT today and seem they are hard to find.
  8. The CF in the photo is the factory unit. I needed a new windshield and almost ordered the Stucchi one before I discovered that they were different.
  9. YMMV Your Mileage Might Vary I need a new rear. That Qualifier is down to the wear bars. Planning to ride to Austin TX and Jasper Ark in a 3 weeks, it'll have to be replaced before I travel. The front Angel looks good. Think I'll get an Angel. The tire didn't last through an oil change. I'd guess I put 3500 miles on it.
  10. I made the 55 degree gizmo that was on the first page of the greasing the u joint thread, and it worked fine on Rosie and the Scura. So, I confidently was going to show my kid how to do it on his 00 Greenie. Couldn't do it. There's something different... so what do I need to do ?
  11. the Speedhut solutions appears to be simpliest. whether it's worth $235 is another issue. the cup still needs to fit on the bottom for the naked bikes
  12. http://www.speedhut.com/customizer.i?clid=616796 $235 for 3 3/8 size GPS unit. Get white face day/night and Century Script & it's dang close to the white face Veglia. Will 3 3/8 fit the dash mount and install with the Veglia cup?
  13. sorry we never got to ride. or didn't see you at any of the Okla Guzzi Chowdowns or BLHOT dinners. nice looking machine & trailer if you keep it, I'm in Edmond
  14. does the 3 3/8 in size fit that dash opening? the century script is very close to the Veglia unit.
  15. angel on the front and Dulop Qualifier on the back due to flat. Seems handle fine.
  16. 80?
  17. especially in Green
  18. I think Howard put on Cherry Bomb (w/ Jet Hot coating) car mufflers on it- if IIRC. Looked & sounded good when I saw it at Ark rally.
  19. 45 lb ft ?
  20. I was going to forward this link to the Mustang Police but it appears their website only lists phone numbers & not e-mail contact.
  21. I just contacted the dealer in Connecticut (MGNOC ad). he replied: thanks I hate those assholes doing that, I just sold the bike for $5100
  22. yep....the photo is rip off from MGNOC classified. ............ lister from Conn.
  23. wow. I've seen those photos before. Mustang is just 25 miles from where I live. In fact, my son teaches in the middle school.
  24. well everyone needs compression dampening, sometimes the jolts are little stiff for bumpy roads around here but the control is good with little brake dive. all in all not a bad compromise.
  25. what is the big complaint? does someone have Ohlins envy? I like the handling & ride. BTw- the Ohlins aren't top line Ohlins either. You can always go for more and more. Or perhaps gut it all but the springs and weld a shock to the fork ala Dr John. That would be cool.
