Anyone with a red frame V11 Sport should get the the brace kit from Don at Motiv. I think I bankrolled much of it from my repair. He traced out the brace from a rendering of the factory part (no longer available), made a run of them and includes the bolts and fasteners. I think he still has my can of red paint. Contact Don here. https://www.motivcycleworks.com/

I got my GB case fixed. Of course the transmission had to be removed and taken apart- all beyond my skill level. For the fix, it was sent to powder coat oven for several heat cycles to clean out all the residual fluids and then welded. So far it's held up. The shop that did it for me sells a brace kit to prevent it from happening again.

wow, I live in Edmond and didn't know anything about it. I remember when I joined the board there was a fellow in OKC that had a Coppa but he left the board about when I got on.

I see that Robbinsville has a Quality Inn now. There's also Tapaco Lodge on 28.

The bags are Givi knock offs, the expandable type. Not the same quality as the hard bags on the Multi Strada. The the bolts in the brackets can shear. Most owners (myself included) have those bolts tapped to a larger size. Despite that, they can hold a fullface helmet (unlike a Goldwing) and are serviceable for most trips. Other than that, it's been as reliable as a Honda. By comparison, I've ridden the 2nd Gen SS and it's quite a bit more aggressive in the riding position vs the new bike. The new bike has a very comfortable seat and the riding position is more relaxed than the V11 Sport.

How many Groundhog Days until the weekend after Labor Day?

I got gas at BucEe's and the MPG Tracker on my Corvette lost about 4 mpg and never caught up to the previous readings despite costing a dime+ more a gallon. Then the stores are so big you have to walk two blocks from the gas pumps to the bathroom. And TMI, usually when I stop, I need to go. BTW- the crap sold there, whether consumable or not, ain't cheap, and it ain't special. Just another instance where Texans think they invented the first gas station, or BBQ, beer, kolaches, tacos, football or any other common place thing or idea. Just making it bigger and expensive or putting a star on it doesn't make it better or even as good. I could tell ya what I really think but I think I'll keep tactful about it.

Faith. It does work both ways. OTOH, I was in Arkansas in June and no dealer in Russellville (Honda and Suzuki, two dealerships) would put a tire on my Ducati. The Honda dealer would ONLY work on Hondas- they were backed up for months. But the tire change would've taken, what 20 minutes? I think the big shop in Fayetteville would've done it and had me on my way. I was heading home anyway and it was a good excuse to leave with riders I wasn't comfortable with. A word for the wise when traveling. -

You've been waiting 6 weeks to get tires on your bike? Or am I reading this wrong? -

10k is a pretty good run for any rear tire. Better than any radial sport oriented rear tire. Now the bias Metzlers on my California go along ways.... -

It appears that Mike Haven and Michelin have 100% of your business. -

P6X, You should get any tire you want within a day's delivery. My shop gets tires the next day from the warehouse in Dallas. He checks the computer for stock and orders them. Now, if I ordered "Ducati" stamped Diablo Rosso II, that would take a few days (unless it's not in the States). My guys (two different shops) sell me the the tires pretty much for internet prices, they can order and install the new tires. I can pick up the wheel or just drop off my bike. I see that Michelin dropped the "Pilot" from the "Road"? -
Man, I think you're on to something. It's like we're being tracked all the time. Luckily I have my cell phone with a map on it so I can escape. They'll never catch me.
