  1. I've been staving off aches and pains (shoulders, knees, hip, hands, Achilles) for the last few years by keeping up with my physical therapy. Whenever I get a new muscle or joint pain, I'll get a referral to therapist and then make sure I include that into my regular exercise routines. I've heard that for knees that it makes sense to do preop and postop PT. I recently started getting slight "twitches" in my right hip. After x-rays and an MRI, I found I had a 1 inch bone chip and muscle tear from an old injury. So sometime ago I broke my hip. I wish you the best. I wouldn't give up right away. Do your best to work through it and build new strength. For sure your new knees will be better and less painful than your old ones.
  2. Mediterranean anchovies/sardines are quite a treat. We usually keep a few tins of King Oscars around the house. Great to share with the Mrs when making a quick light lunch. Nothing wrong with smoked oysters as well.
  3. Elon has set up charging stations all over the country. Strategically. Especially on the interstates. Plug in, get a Big Mac, go to the restroom and good for 200+ miles. At one time the service was free but not sure of that. But if I were camping, I might get a cord that will fit a 30 amp RV site overnight. Jus' spit balling a suggestion. I'd like to get an electric while I'm still competent to drive.
  4. You might not find a side stand kill switch.
  5. I wear earplugs with ATGATT.
  6. Bill plays rhythm and Micky plays lead.
  7. You don't "literally" have to go to Galveston for raw oysters. However, there are some great fresh seafood joints there, lots of shotgun shacks, with Cajun, fried, bbq'd, TexMex, broiled, raw, etc. Hey, if you want upscale go to Giado's.
  8. P6X- I like raw oysters too. But they're a little inconvenient for motorcycle camping. BTW- I'm not sure why anyone living in Houston would go to France just for the oysters. Of course, I love Gulf oysters.
  9. I'd chance a collision with those.
  10. Sardines are great. So are tins of smoked oysters. Get a few olives, some cheese and chips. Chase it with a beer. Great meal. Healthy? I think so. Oyster tins, chips and beer, you're good for a camping meal for sure. Great when you're alone ... not so good with a partner.
  11. I do the set ups.... you've got the punch line.
  12. Those bumpers look dangerous.
  13. I had to do a double take on that. I've got the original album, "Infidels" on vinyl. I haven't listened to it for years. But it was my favorite Dylan since the '70s until "Modern Times" came out. There are several old records I'd like to digitize (like Keith Jarrett's "Back Hand" and a live "VSOP".) Some (like those) aren't available digitally and others, like "Infidels", I'm too cheap to re-buy. Anyway, this is what Mr Google says about the video The newly released, never-before-seen video of “Don’t Fall Apart On Me Tonight (Version 2)” features guitarists Mark Knopfler and Mick Taylor, drummer Sly Dunbar, bassist Robbie Shakespeare and keyboardist Alan Clark.
  14. I was thinking that a hotter plug might last a little longer since the plugs get build up. 5k miles? I like to go 10k when I adjust the valves and service the drive and tranny. The PC makes it run well but it might be a tad rich.
  15. I hate these threads. My bike was running perfectly. Yesterday I took it out and was giving me a low RPM cough when I would take off. Almost dropped it a couple of times. I'll change the plugs. Perhaps go to a step hotter?
  16. I gather that's a Scrambler with the watercooled engine like in my bike. These engine aren't plug-in fits, since the mounts and frames are different and my bike doesn't have a frame.
  17. I think the V100 is a sport tourer whereas the Des X is a more aggressive off road version of the Multi.
  18. The Spineframe Brain Trust. I wonder if they ever made it back?
  19. I'm not sure that dealer's are involved in the new bike yet. I talked to the local shop last week and he didn't even know there was a new Guzzi coming out. He was happy to hear it from me.
  20. I think if you search here, you'll find the black one is the rarest of all the red frames. Hard to say why but the red frames are among the best looking bikes of a family of spine frame best looking bikes.
  21. sorry you got the slow black one. But you'll be fine
