Rocker met me on that bike, it was gorgeous. It had paint mile deep black. Rocker could corner it better that I could on my Bandit. Glad you kept track of it Chuck.

Just for the few that aren't on Wild. Dusty's Rally in Cedar Vale KS is coming up. At least one guy from TN-NC wants a riding buddy. https://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=102664.0

Docc, maybe that's why I've been playing musical relays?

Just check out Pyro Dan. He knows.

Similar thing for my EV (as I mentioned). The gasket was upside down on the silly spacer. Oil light went off when it was revved but stayed on at low rpm. That's when I was learning to service the bike 10+ years ago. That's not an issue with these motors. I didn't know it was a CARC thing too- I'd bet that was Darren's deal rather than 20-50 oil.

My buddy Darren had a 1200 Sport (Breva). The service tech used 20-50 rather than the required 10-60. He got the pressure light and had to go back for a change. I'm of the opinion, "likely excuse for a loose filter" but what the heck, that's the story. He had it changed to 10-60 and the light went out. Again, I had no idea that these engines used anything but 20-50, so if it's the right weight, never mind. (It was a stretch anyway.) Still, since it occurred after the oil change, I'd suspect something in regard to that.

I would think heavier oil would made for more pressure. Could it affect pressure at low rpms when warmed up? If that was the only change you made, that could be the culprit. I thought all Guzzis from the V11 era used 20-50. I don't think that that Sport engine has the same issue with backwards (upside) down pan gaskets that the EV has which will definitely get an oil light.

I see boxes of parts that I have no idea how they would fit together. Looks like a nice big Healy there. Looking forward to read how this bikes rides when it's back together.

If it's not the relays it's the damn connectors. Spray the hell out of 'em with contact cleaner.

You're a pro a Marty, in the Hunter Thompson vain. "When the going get's Weird, the Weird go Pro!" -
There're generic fuel pumps for less than $100 at the auto parts store. I've lost the cross ref. You might query the site and see if you can find that info. I am intending this for bikes with external fuel pumps. $55 at MG Cycle http://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2491

Dave, the only time I've ever seen that song performed live was by Jeff Beck. Amazing. Your bike looks amazing too. You're in the right place to keep it going.

Marty, I'd like to share a Pabst with you. The national beer of Moto Guzzi riders. -
I suppose I'd ask, why were the cylinders, pistons and cam replaced? Many do like the 1200 sport (Breva), I'm not sure how it compares to the V11 engines. I suppose the cam and tuning would matter. Having said that, it looks pretty nice and there are a few bits of eye candy $$ on it. So considering all done to it, I suppose the builder/owner would take the step to sort it all out. I've done a lot of supposing.

That's a great record. Mark's one guy I'd like to see. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. All this about pilots and planes reminds me of yesterday. I'd just epoxied that damn broken turn signal on my EV. When I wired it back on, none of the tail lights or signals worked. I was yelling mad. I checked the fuse, good. Put it back in, everything worked! Sprayed everything with contact cleaner (no CAIG $$). Damn fuse block. So I'm still bitching about it with my neighbor. He's a double retired Lt Col, B-52 pilot and FAA guy, always working on his BMW track car. There's a thing about engineers, pilots, doctors, they're always experts on anything. So Steve tells me to use dielectric grease. I told him that it was an insulator. He disagreed and said it was a conductor. That's when I mention some of Guzzi discussions. He replies that everyone on the internet is an "expert". Somehow I bring up Chuck from Indiana, then Brad, my last line of defense. Anyway this morning I'm dropping off the trash, I'm in my gym shorts ready to go and it's cold and just been raining. Steve comes up to me and says that it's true that dielectric grease really is an insulator. Before I was going to be roped into another 20 minute conversation, I told him I was cold and going to the gym. As he left, I "invited" him over for Pabst later in the afternoon. That'll keep him away for a while. -
Sorry, my bad. I did a search.

Not sure where the Coltrane reference was listed here. But the Mrs ordered the record, "BlueTrain", I suppose Thursday night. It was delivered just now. I think about $10 for CD and shipping.
