I have to agree with Pete after riding one. Way too much pogo stick in the corners; the more you lean it, the more it sinks. I suppose it makes good power for what it is. I want more power. I am not really into the dual sport thing either. It seems that they've gone around us with 1400 cruisers and small blocks of different styles. The porridge is too hot and too cold but nothing just right.

Since this little bike is selling so well, perhaps Piaggio can get us a real Guzzi with the performance and comfort that we expect?

Just curious if any if you listen to "Live from Here"? Chris Thile. It's the show that took over Garrison Keillor's "Prairie Home Companion" on Saturday late afternoon on many public radio stations. I'll admit that I don't like it as well as the original but it's still pretty good, certainly more music and much less stories and comedy. I don't miss it when I am around the radio.

Congrats on the sale. Tell the new owner about the board. -
Brian, are the clip-on pars included?

I use both brakes most of the time. Keeps the bike level and balanced to use both.

I couldn't agree more.

I'd like to make those rides for sure. I think that Ark has many roads to explore. Perhaps not one or two of the great and famous roads but dozens of really good ones. Also in Mizzery. My favorite ride is the Tenn Dragon and following 28 in NC. But you have to pick the right day and won't have many alternative routes.

I'd say best. Once you factor in traffic as well as the scenery, condition of the roads, site views, technical riding and quaint places. Colorado is close but there are fewer roads over the mountains and more congestion. The Smokys have too much traffic. Haven't done N Ga. There are places in N Cali and Sierras that might be good but I would guess more like Colorado. So Cal seems pretty crowded. So I am open to "probably better roads". There should be a thread about it I suppose.

Keep it Rox, I'm not buying your leftovers. The ad said there was one left when I put in my order. That's why I put in a notice here, so no one would be surprised. So it was wrong. We'll see what happens.

I like the album. I think "Raising Sand" was a great record, it took me into another direction with "roots" sound, a little bit of Folk and Blues with tinge of Rockabilly. I like everything I've ever heard from T Bone Burnett. This is my favorite RP album without Jimmy Page on it. I've played it every couple of weeks for probably 10 years. I have an AK record, it's OK. No, I don't like US or AK as well as I like this album. But I don't call them ridiculous. I suppose that you would agree with my neighbor? You've listened to the entire album? I'll admit that one isn't the best song on the record but I like it. I don't consider my taste to be better than anyone else's but I like to share what I like. I like this song even more.

Well well. No carbon cover for me now. E-mailed them, told me they were out of stock and the work crew had an additional two week vacation due to Coronavirus. They will start work on Monday. Really? OK, $77? I won't lose sleep over it. It might be worth the price of admission to see what in the blue hell this is about. I think I'll be lucky to get the piece by April. My thinking is "never" is the likely delivery date. We'll see.

I think Todd was the guy the put a hotted up 1400 in a Tonti. (I am too lazy to look it up on the 'net)

Well if you're talkin' roots and country. I saw this pair a few years ago. When they did "Black Dog" a cappella, I thought it was funny. I still play this record quite a bit. My neighbor was at the same show for the gospel inspiration. He said Robert couldn't harmonize with anyone but came to see Allison. I love this album.

https://www.ozarkratraid.com/ Just a reminder for the annual Rally in Ozarks. It's back at Marble Falls Resort (remodel of the former Hub Motorcycle Resort), on curvy Hwy 7 between Jasper and Harrison Ark.Probably the best riding roads in the US

Yeah, I don't think there are any reverse threaded mandrels. I apologize for making a useless thread.
-
I'm not having an easy time finding one. If memory serves it's a reverse thread and very small (?) metric.

There are so many threads on the subject, I didn't know where to start. So, I'm making it worse by starting another. The Moderator is more than welcome to combine this to its proper place. Anyway, I've lost a couple of those stems and they cost $30+. I won't purchase another one but it's inconvenient when you're trying to keep track of the gas fill up. I was on a Ducati forum whining about it and got this advice: I also lost the reset knob on the Veglia speedo on my Bevel Duc and as you say they are stupid ($64!!) expensive. I discovered that the male thread on the Veglia reset shaft in the speedo was the same as the female thread on a Demel tool mandrel and the mandrels aren't expensive. I fabricated a metal eyelet and epoxied on the end of the mandrel shaft, removed the retaining screw and I keep the mandrel on my keyring. When I stop for gas I thread it onto the reset shaft, reset the trip meter and then remove it and no more lost stupid expensive knobs.
