  1. I knew he was lying when he said "Very fast".
  2. Man, I could use a top off just reading it.
  3. The original poster might like them, heck, I might. Think you might sell them?
  4. Several have mentioned "Buell Pegs", drops and inch an controls are still OK (?). You might search the forum.
  5. so I got home, poured some Scotch, got my last Cuban cigar from my trip last year and turned on Mile's Bitches Brew. Put some tuna steaks on the grill. No pain today.
  6. Bassist? Rhonda Smith, she started with an up comer known as Prince. Yeah, she can buzz the bass like Jack Casady. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhonda_Smith The cello is Vanessa Freebairn-Smith and drums are Vinnie Colaiuta. No keyboards but there was some synthesiser or recordings in the background whether it was run from the board or Jeff was doing it and the cello added some harmonic bottom too. Jeff and Vinnie just go and go and go.
  7. Last night the Bev and I met with Guzzi John and Barb from Springfield MO in Tulsa to see Jeff Beck. Someday I'll write about Tulsa which in many ways was the Austin that never was. It seemed like everyone in the hotel was there to see Jeff Beck including folks there from Chicago to see Jeff after following him from Kansas City. The basic band is guitar, drums, bass and cello with two "guest singers". And I'll admit that was a surprise. The basic style is an ongoing guitar and drum solo that's perfectly timed and melodic. I'd call it heavy metal bebop but that would be wrong. Through the jam I recognised "Cause we ended as lovers", "Big Block", then the first singer came out playing Link Wray's "Rumble" and the next singer was Jimmy Hall doing "Superstition". The final song was the instrumental rendition of "A Day in the Life". See if you can guess the first singer, and I'll give the answer at the bottom. yes, that's Johnny Depp
  8. holy moly......delivering the mail
  9. Make sure the neutral switch connector is seated on the left side of transmission. Just push it in and wiggle it. Same for the spark plug wires.
  10. You might look at Guzzidiag or contact Beetle on Wild Guzzi who has written dozens of maps. My bike has PC, slip-ons and crossover by the PO and it runs good.
  11. I am glad we're all in agreement. So it must all be true.
  12. I agree that 170 rear narrower rim will turn quicker that the 180 wider rim. But the red frames just prettier, handle better and so much faster (so long as it doesn't weave at speed with bags on and crack the transmission).
  13. As I mentioned on Wild, the new owner was delivering this bike to Don's shop in OKC. Don thinks that he knows the bike and the original owner. I remember the guy too, it's been dropped a couple of times and the guy was little short considering the size of bike. A shame the key was lost, Don confirmed that it's going to cost a few bucks to replace the key set and some of the dash. Perhaps since Don knows the original owner he might get the code, provided the code hasn't been changed?
  14. Sorry for the your friend's loss. So far as the V11 riding position, you might do a search here. Some things that come to mind, Buell Pegs which are "notched" to go about an inch lower. Additionally there are several aftermarket rear sets that have been tried here and can be ordered on the net; same for the bars with handlebar conversion and clip on risers.
  15. Just a note, a few Ducati riders were there last week. It was reported that LEO presence was even more extreme than usual. One rider got two tickets. Perhaps things will slow down after Labor Day (new fiscal quarter)? I hope you guys have a great trip. Just thought I'd pass this info on.
  16. Guzzi, official bike of Ernest T Bass. . I like that Darlin' gurl
  17. yeah, you can bet they are all made in China regardless of the label.
  18. BTDT, Cal Cycle Works, $80.
  19. any thought about protective clear coat whether paint or wrap? I got my Ducati cleared with vinyl wrap due to big belly belt buckle on the fuel tank syndrome.
  20. expensive grappa? what? $5?
  21. Lockey best to you, the team and the lady battling health. The Isle will be there next year. We'll always be wishing you on.
  22. When you're 14 and riding to Jr Hi, it can be a challenge. But if you've already conquered them on a 26 inch 3 speed bicycle, not a problem.
  23. Dog Story. We used to live about 3 1/2 miles out of town and away from Jr Hi School. So rather than ride the bus, I would ride my bicycle. On the corner, about a mile away, our neighbors had a couple of German Shepherds that loved to chase cars. So when I rode the bike, they would get in my way. I would stop to avoid crashing into them and walk the bike. I finally learned, just don't slow down and keep going. They'd bark and chase and give up just like chasing a car. Of course I had to go around the corner quickly and not stop at the stop sign. When I got my Honda Scrambler 90, it was no problem.
  24. Black Magic Woman Oh Well You know I don't have a recording. I just ordered the best of the Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac.
