  1. She'll burn you alive and feed what's left to the dragon. BEND THE KNEE !!!!!!!!!!!!! She's way to HOTTTT for a Guzzi guy.
  2. I didn't catch the year of the bike, so I can't tell if this a red frame bike or if the frame was painted orange with the rest of the bike. Owning a greenie, the color stunning in person. I think it's one of the prettiest bikes ever. If you go that route, I would make sure the frame was painted red. OTOH, if you go to one of the simpler colors, like black or silver, I probably wouldn't worry about the frame and the body colors would be easier to match and paint. I suppose the tricolor would be the most challenging and then you'll want to paint the frame black. Anyway, you can't go wrong if it's what you want.
  3. It's usually the case that once an aircraft has been overhauled in the depot, that is takes a shakedown to be returned to user and then gets fitted for return to service.
  4. Yep, I put on some bar risers on another bike and an hour's ride was enough for me. It was already 93 before noon when I got home and now it's 98.
  5. tell us how it rides now
  6. I am afraid I am going down the rabbit hole into Dead-nation now. Perhaps it's an obsession or just a window into the past, both cultural and personal. Most of the Dead Shows have been archived and many have been packaged into CDs and downloads by the keepers of the vault. So as I fished around, I found D ick's Pick, Vol 19. D ick Latvala was a Dead recording archivist who put out 36 CD sets. Vol 19 was the very first Grateful Dead show that I attended back in 1973. The only vivid memory I had was some drunk Okie yelling "Truckin'" throughout the show. Of course they never played it. After hearing it, some of the memories have come back, the country sound, Bill was the single drummer and really rocks when he plays alone, the Godchauxs' and many more but songs and fewer jams, and Jerry. It's the beginning of the "wall of sound" and the recording is surprisingly good for the time. So here is a link https://archive.org/details/gd73-10-19.sbd.nayfield.187.sbeok.shnf There are several other shows I'd like to get, some are only available with a few songs in larger sets. Some might be poor recordings that were never released unless bootlegged. In fact there are so many authorized commercial Grateful Dead recordings on the markets, most 2- 3 hours long, that members of the band have not listened to them all. Fish around, you might find your own memories here.
  7. Makes sure the tps hasn't come unplugged.
  8. Probably the filter. If it were an EV, I would guess the pan gasket was on backwards.
  9. One of the guys on WG was able to get a vid of Sugaree (first set, before John changed shirts in my photos)
  10. I am sure this is no surprise, I saw the Dead & Co last night in Dallas. They played Texas sentimentals like EL Paso, New Minglewood Blues, and Deep Ellum Blues. But then John just tore it up on Sugaree with wild blues and did it again with Jack Straw. After the break they did the best Shakedown Street I've ever heard and the rest of the show was total jam out with Uncle John, St Steven and 11. I haven't ordered the recording yet but I did get some photos from the camera I really hate (and sometimes like).
  11. I know that bike
  12. So it's variation of 'the least resistance'? The forces find the weakest area, so remove that area? (and my thinking the more material the greater strength) Thanks for the lesson.
  13. For a noob like me, why is taking metal off a casting going to make it stronger?
  14. regarding TOP: (aka, greatest LIVE album of all time)
  15. Those gen 2 Duc SS have very aggressive ergos, even more extreme than the Sport 1100. Pretty bent over riding them IMO.
  16. reseat the neutral cut out switch on the left side of the gearbox.
  17. Purchase one? Perhaps not. Ride one? Hell yeah, the Duke too. I'd like to know what the reliability and maintainability factor is. I am quite smitten with my Duc SS. Not a huge Adv guy.
  18. Don in OKC is an Ohlins trained guy if you can't find anyone local. http://www.motivcycleworks.com/
  19. speaking of COTA (as posted earlier) Earl's Art Gallery (in N Tex. Illinois Bend) (and it was freeezzzinnnng cold 40 degrees and 40 MPH wind) and then I rode all the way to Stonehenge in Kerrville. After I rode from Earl's-hengde. Who knew there was the Cadillac Ranch, Earl's place and Stonehenge in Texas? Celebrating my cough-cough 65th B-day Disclaimer, I didn't take the last photo, that was by Darren
  20. I would imagine that we'd get a few takers, guys like me that would like to have a couple in Guzzi parts bin. Between this board and especially on WildGuzzi there should be enough folks to make the quantities. It would only take 20 or 30, the problem is getting all this straight keeping track of who wants how many and then shipping. That's why we aren't business folks, just hobbyists. And of course the quality issue which is an unknown.
  21. Despite my post above, stay attentive of the weather. Some of the flooding is now entering Ark. A fellow rider rode western Ark last weekend and said it was fine but now we need to keep an eye on it.
