If anyone is looking, there is another Tenni up for sale on the Wild Guzzi classifieds. Sounds like a good one.
-
I also had an Aprilia, 2nd Gen Tuono with the 1L Rotax engine. It was a great engine but left much to be desired in the sound department. It was more high pitched than growling. Just sold it to pick up my 2nd V11

Haha, rightfully so! Has the new owner joined? Has he considering motobits lowering pegs? My Sport was converted to bars and I find it pushes me further back in the seat and gives my knees a little more clearance.
-
Hey Dave, is the new owner in Portland?
-
Beautiful! I'll take it

I believe this is all true, but the engine on this bike is really one of its greatest assets. It is so "mechanical" and provides so much of the character of the bike that it would be boring without it. It really isn't all that underpowered either. The new Thruxton R doesn't have that much more power and it is decades ahead in design, it is almost soulless in its delivery. No saying I don't want one though:) Would never be a replacement for my V11, just a companion. Anyone who is running a stock exhaust really should upgrade as it wakes the bike up and provides all those glorious notes.

Price sounds great! The design is perfect, a low profile version for the headstock would be spot on. Maybe the same height as the two smaller bits? Not sure if this is possible or not.
-
I almost installed this today, but decided to take it in and have it serviced and resprung for my weight. Was tempting to see the difference from the Sachs even in it's stock setting. I'm feeling pretty happy to have found one on eBay Italy. It's still in pretty good shape too. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

When I talked to Jon "Hollywood" (who would trust buying a moto from a guy with that name!), I mentioned the single clutch issue and he basically said I didn't know what the hell I was talking about. In case anyone hasn't noticed, I was very displeased with this dealer/salesman and wouldn't buy so much as a pack of gum from them.
-
Let me know how much for just the headstock version, maybe in the low profile like the top two covers. Thanks! These look incredible. Reminds me a little of the piece on my old 2nd Gen Tuono.

I would love to buy one of these for a little extra bling. Any thoughts on making a few for board members?

Looks like there is a crossover for sale on CL right now if anyone is looking. Looks like and FBF: https://raleigh.craigslist.org/mpo/d/moto-guzzi-v11-performance/6416561999.html

Sorry to flood the thread with posts This is the Billabio I was thinking of. Low miles and damn near stock ( not listed as a Billabio): https://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/wan/d/2004-moto-guzzi-v11-sport/6427658035.html

Found it for ya! https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/mcy/d/2004-moto-guzzi-v11-sport/6443618900.html Me thinks a little overpriced. Everyone in the Bay Area thinks their V11 is worth more than it is. A wrecked and unrepaired red frame is $3100

Pretty sure there is another Billabio for sale on CL somewhere in the States right now. Has been up for a couple of months.
-
Nice pair! Only thing better is a pair and spare. I didn't know you had a Rosso Docc

The new bike has the Megacycle X9 cam and on the dyno result it pulls all the way to 8k without more than a 2 whp dropoff. Thought it might run out of breath sooner, so was pretty impressed. Maybe the higher compression pistons help here.
-
Hi Scud, I don't see where any valve work was done on it based on the documentation. Not sure if the PC3 overrides the rev limiter, seems like I have been past 8k and I don't want to do any damage. Some mention of the Veglia gauges being off by 300 rpm or so though.

Not to Like: Potential hassle with dealer (based on some prior reports) Fuzzy paint on the driveline Probably original aluminum flywheel Oversized boss on shift pawl arm Undersprung up front if you weigh more than 165 lbs Repaint Hacked windscreen On the other hand: Ohlins shock, forks, and damper Titanium kit racing exhaust and high-hangers Low miles Looks to be complete A few nice, small mods (LED signals, bar-en mirrors, fender eliminator) It's still a Scura I passed up a Scura in early October that had a terrible engine repaint. They sprayed over all the bolts, it would have drove me crazy! That one was only $4200 and had some really nice extra bits on it plus the owner had all the past history documented. This one for closer to 6k is outrageous, "Hollywood" wouldn't budge a dime on the price either. I will def pick a Scura or Cafe Sport in the future, but I wouldn't be player on this unless it was under 4k

Yeah, I didn't have any hopes pinned on this. But it is kinda like high school, you don't get anything you don't ask for:)
-
Happy New Year All! I know this is a long shot, but if anyone has an extra one of these laying around please send me a message. Many thanks

Does anyone know what a safe redline would be on my bike with the upgraded internals?
-
Just noticed you are in Ashland, wife and I spend the night there last week waiting for a new tire (3 holes in the bad one) to be put on our car by Les Schwab. It is a lovely place to visit and we will be back!

This bike has been for sale for at least 4 months. From my discussions with them and other peoples reports, this is not a very good dealer to do business with. There are multiple issues with the bike, such as repaint and broken pieces and they say the bike has never been down. Also looks like the speedo has been replaced, so be aware that mileage might be inaccurate. They refused to send me hi-res pics. Btw, there are around $800-900 in dealer fees that will be added to the price you see listed. Proceed with caution.

Is the original question the same, or similar, to the final question in the *other* cam thread? "Now, the question remains: Why not cam a V11? My take is that the V11 (1064 Sport) cam is very well optimized for the bike, but surely there are those here who have changed the cam. If so, to what?" Not sure on the reason the owner changed the cam, my guess is that Moto International suggested it as he was having the Carrillo cams and FBF pistons put in why they were swapping the "fuzzy" painted case out with a new one. -Nick
