  1. My newest V11 came with FBF Pistons, Carrillo rods, Megacycle Camshaft, FBF xover, and Gianelli silencers. Oh and a PC3 The post Dyno tuning was 77 whp up from 70whp. Not sure if this help but thought I would contribute the data that I have. Let me know if you want me to post the dyno charts and I will load them up as an image. -Nick
  2. My bike has the megacycle cams on it. I don't see anything on the invoice that required any other head work. The pistons, rods and cams were replaced at the same time by Moto International. Check with them to see if they have any advice. -Nick
  3. Seems like the anodized ones are a bit tougher. I believe someone mentioned nail polish in the past. If you are really serious about them looking perfect again, maybe have them reanodized. This probably didn't help but best of luck...would love to see what you decide to do in case I run into the same issues one day.
  4. Rare air on this one. Pricing is right too
  5. Thanks for the descriptive post. My newest V11 is one of those "odd" leftovers from 2002, but sold as an 03. It has the black forks, but one is for compression and the other for rebound unlike the later Sport Nakeds. Is there any internal difference between the early versions? I know that there were some odd mixes of parts during different build times. Does anyone know if the early shocks are better or worse and are mine just anodized/painted black and the same as the early units?
  6. I have read most of your posts regarding this topic. Thanks for sharing all of your research results. Tracking my V11 is not going to happen, there are other bikes that are purpose built for this. The rear shock is crap though and really could use the upgrade. I am thinking that upgrading the rear and then getting everything sprung and dialed in for me it should be more than adequate for some spirited rides in the mountains and coastal roads.
  7. Thanks for the input Gents I am ok with the price paid and I really like having the factory setup. Also, I have added Ohlins to other bikes in the past with excellent results so I feel like I have a pretty good idea with what I might be getting. The Wilbers do look nice though, and after checking I will need to respring the stock Ohlins as I am pushing 200 lbs. Gonna start with the rear and maybe have the front forks rebuilt locally in the future if I feel they are lagging to much. Might try a heavier weight fork oil to start as I am sure it could use a refresh after 15 years.
  8. That is a wild one, must be an awkward ride. I'm feelin ya on the silver Docc! My new V11 is an 03 with a silver tank, not my preferred color but it is really growing on me.
  9. Hey All, Happiest of Holidays to you. I just picked up an Ohlins rear shock off Ebay Italy, the price seemed ok at $600 with only 12k miles on it. Didn't want to lose out on it as there are very few options for upgrades these days. Doesn't seem like these come along too often, did I over pay? Btw, what is the consensus on these, isn't the rear suspension known to be the weaker of the two?
  10. That is a very reasonable price. I would buy this if I didn't already have one and a spare.
  11. Nice bike! Congrats on the new ride. Is this the one from New England area that was recently for sale?
  12. Wow! Great experience and nice cafe work on those two motos.
  13. Behold - Tenni Goodness https://lancaster.craigslist.org/mcy/d/moto-guzzi-tenni-112-for-sale/6401586905.html
  14. Clean, mostly stock Greenie, higher miles. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/mcy/d/2001-moto-guzzi-v11-sport/6400322519.html
  15. One more V11 for sale in Socal. Craze expensive, somebody doesn't know the market for these. https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/mcy/d/2004-moto-guzzi-v11-sport/6402152592.html
  16. Nice Greenie for sale if anyone is looking, modified but not molested. Once you get the stickers off it would look nice. Ohlins rear and nice carbon fiber bits. Oh yeah, lovely laverda fairing for those that like the look. https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/mcy/d/2000-moto-guzzi-v11-sport/6401661748.html
  17. Good choice. Although I'm sad you only have one bike. Me too! Will add a second bike in a year or so. Maybe an old school 70's Eldorado! As soon as the prices come down to around 10k on used Thruxton R's, I will definitely have another bike.
  18. Thanks for hosting the video, was a good watch. I also had both bikes, a 2003 Naked and a 2008 Tuono, which is basically the unfaired version of the Ape with handlebars. The Guzzi has sooo much more character and sounds infinitely better. However, the "T" did everything better, loads more power, better braking and the handling was ridiculous. The chassis on that bike was incredible, so stiff and never got upset from road imperfections. The bike was a little odd at first because you really feel like you are siting on top of it whereas the V11 you are sitting in it. Tuono is gone now, just sold it last week. Only one bike in the garage for now.
  19. It is the hyperpro rsc model. Very well made.
  20. Nice Duc Scud! Looks to be in top condition and I'm sure it was a fun ride on that mountain pass. Have a great Thanksgiving all!
  21. Looks clean! Good luck with sale
  22. I have a hyperpro that I am going to put on my new V11, the original on only has 10k miles on it and looks to be in great working condition. Let me know if you are interested in it.
  23. Thanks for the Ghezzi-Brian tip! I think I will be gifting myself a GB carbon rear hugger, have to ask them about the bar as well. Gotta finish the carbon job on the newest V11 in the garage, came with front fender, cluster, windscreen and seat cover and alternator cover but no rear hugger.

I wonder if this article will make prices go up? It is the best value right now for cafe style bikes.
  25. Who makes the cardan bar farkle? I didn't know they were still available
