I am hearing that Kevin has lost his leg below the knee.
Prayers going out to them both.
So today I took the switch out and drained the gearbox. I cleaned the switch with some WD40 and worked it back and forth. Still didn't work. Reassembled everything and filled the box with Redline Shockproof. Went for a 30 mile ride and when I got home and put the bike in neutral the light came on. Go figure...
I have a new switch on order but if this keeps working I'll save the switch as a back-up.
I actually removed mine last night without removing the starter. I just didn't have any replacement gear lube so I screwed it back in. I have a new switch on order and I'll change out the lube to Redline Shockproof when it gets here.
Yes, I believe so, mine just started playing up also, might be a good opportunity to replace the pawl spring while you have the side cover off.
Side cover off??? The neutral switch is directly below the starter right?
It seems my bike has the same issue. The bike wouldn't start with the sidestand down and the neutral light never comes on. I grounded the wire and the light came on. I pulled the switch and wiped it down, re-installed but no-joy.
Is this a common issue with the V11?
Hi, New Guzzi owner as of tonight. I just purchased a V11 Lemans Tenni from a friend and forum member! I've been lurking for a few weeks so the questions will now commence....
I think it's the same bike I called on. A dealership in Ohio. I made what I thought was a more than fair offer but never heard back. Apparently they had a buyer from Cali that was will to pay full asking price.
