  1. May I ask how many miles on your V11? And how many miles when your rear bearings went south? Thanks! Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
  2. Oh man, I'm sorry - not a great start to your ownership. You seem to be handling better than I would! Anyway, I would recommend contacting The Spare Parts Company (www.sparepartsco.us) in Philly. They've been servicing Guzzis since the late 70s. I haven't personally used them, but have heard they do good work (if you're not in a big hurry). Better now than during the good riding season up here. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
  3. Hey Art, I'm not 100% sure what was causing the rear caliper to hang up, but my suspicion is the corrosion on the slide pin. I never fully understood how the hanging pads are expected to retract freely on anything but a brand new pin. I cleaned it up well with steel wool and WD-40, but i probably should replace it. The pistons and seals all looked quite good - there is no dust boot. I bought a seal kit and replaced them. The pistons are aluminum cups and had no corrosion or pitting. I did gently run some fine steel wool on them just to make myself feel useful. I haven't ridden it yet as it has been too cold. I need to pump some new fluid through first. I'll report back if any issues.
  4. Possibly your rear brake caliper not releasing promptly after applying before the turn. I just rebuilt mine for a similar issue.

  6. Please note the various nicks and cuts on his hands from previous attempts 😉
  7. Thank you 80CX1000!
  8. Thank you very much guys. I feel like I tried every twist and push/pull possible several times, and just can't seem to get that collar to move or rotate more than a millimeter or two. Beginning to wonder if it wouldn't be easier to remove that metal pinch clamp and disconnect it there. Then perhaps replace with a metal disconnect as KINDOY2 has done.
  9. Last weekend
  10. I figure after an hour of trying to disconnect one fuel line (carefully), it's ok to ask. I did find a post last night that said it's "surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it", and to apply equal pressure forward (toward the elbow) on the hose while pushing the collar toward the hose, and you may need to rotate the collar a bit. The collar doesn't really want to rotate without the hose also rotating. So, do I need one of those special disconnector tools for this? Thanks in advance.

  13. [emoji23] Yes, and with Regret, due to the number of margheritas drank at the concert, as I could not resist the Temptation. [emoji23] Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
  14. Went to the New Order concert in Philadelphia Sunday - 3 of the original band members still kicking it! But best part was for the encore they did two Joy Division songs - nice homage to Ian Curtis: Love Will Tear Us Apart: https://photos.app.goo.gl/81TWw26dfaceQuxD6 Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk

Thank you for the clarification and info weegie. I had the opportunity to ride my buddy's RS a few years ago on a great curvy back road before he sold it. I was really impressed at how much more responsive (both acceleration and steering) than my V11 LeMans. It felt much lighter - more similar to my old '95 Ducati 900 Supersport SP than anything else. With the 4 valve head, doesn't that make it an RS?

  21. What a great thing Scud has done for us - thank you Scud!
  22. That's great to hear! I installed a Scud spring over 2 years and 5k miles ago and no problems.
  23. If I may ask, since you've had a few, have any of them failed?
