  1. That's not bad. At that cost I'd send my forks off to Todd. This last winter I took apart my forks, changed the oil, didn't need to change the seals. Then, with help, set up the sag. Man, what a difference! So now knowing what a maintained factory set up can do. I'm watching your thread with interest.
  2. Taking the idea of straight rate springs & having the forks set up for your weight. What is a 'Ballpark' figure for having Todd work his magic on the forks ?
  3. Over on the WildGuzzi site there is a member looking to change his clip-ons from a LeMans to a handlebar. http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=81061.0 You might be able to get his clip - ons. I added the Scura fairing to my naked. Purchased it from Harpers, so the brackets are available
  4. Inspiring pictures. They are just what I need to persuade the Boss that we should visit Lake Como!
  5. Rox, Can you put up a picture or two of the hugger ?
  6. This one works just like a center stand http://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2995
  7. Guys & gals , Though I have never met any of you, we share a passion and for that reason I consider you Family . Have a Happy New Year ! Put 2015 behind you with its highs & lows, joys & sorrows. Drink to the New Year & the promise of the rides to come ! Tim
  8. Isn't there an improved timing chain tensioner? Have any of you had experiance with that? Just thinking while you've opened her up why not replace it. Answered my own question. Here's the thread; http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18899&hl=%20timing%20%20cover&page=1 Scud, that seems to set this up as your winter project.
  9. Awesome ! Wish I could have been there especially ending up at Guzzitech !
  10. Looking forward to the stories & pictures
  11. Nice bike! I have the 2004 Naked with a cross-over that was starting to rattle and move about. Another owner either here or on WildGuzzi was breaking a 2002 LeMans, so I bought the header pipes. They took quite a bit of cleaning up with a file & then a buffing wheel over a week but they attached with no problem and after the first ride had turned a pale golden colour. I haven't noticed less performance or any flat spot in the mid range, so I'm pleased with that. What has changed is I can hear the exhaust better. So without having to change my mufflers I have a louder, throatier (sp?) sound. Which has resulted in me riding faster & working with the gears more just to hear that glorious roar! You are going to have a lot of fun tweeking and adjusting this bike to suit your weight and riding style. With the help of the members here I have just set up the suspension on my bike & it's just as if I got an upgraded machine overnight. Enjoy. Ask questions & post pictures.
  12. Looking forward to hearing more details.
  13. Kiwi Roy, Thanks for the clarification, I'll get some ordered. I had to look up the Colemans, racing for the AJS team in the 50's ! Awesome! Burt Munro was at Bonneville in the 60's, growing up I might have heard about him if I'd been paying attention. It was his 'Can do ' attitude that impressed me the most.
  14. In case I haven't said this enough times , snapping his suspenders, sit down with a pint of pale ale and give yourself a treat. Watch 'The Fastest Indian'. A cracking good movie! Mike Jagger hadn't travelled much if that was his opinion of Invercargill. KiwiRoy, the relays are all the same aren't they? And can be replaced by the Omsrons you recommended.
  15. Gottagetone, Why did you get 3 Omsron & 2 Panasonic relays rather than all Omsron ? Oz V11, Is that Invercargill, N Z where Burt Munro was from ? Just watched 'The Fastest Indian' again. A great movie, one of my favorites.
  16. Thinking of buying an Airhawk to help with the longer rides. Which version is the question ? Opinions & suggestions please. And Scud I did consider a K75/100 after your post ! They are a lot of bike for the money.
  17. Nicely done!
  18. Had this daft dream last night about that Rosso Corsa in Seattle. I'd left the house drove the 3 days to Seattle. Bought the bike & rode it the 3 days back. Wife hadn't noticed I'd not been home for 6 days ! But quickly realised there were 2 red Guzzi's in the garage! Ha ! That's not going to happen !

  21. Over on the Wild Guzzi site, under the Classified section, a member is parting out a V11 Rosso Mondello.
  22. Being an old fart, when I read the ref to 'eleven pointer' I thought of the movie 'Spinal Tap' where the guitarist is showing off his massive amp. And points out to the interviewer that 'unlike most amps where the volume knob goes to 10. His goes to 11! So it must be louder ! How this relates I'm not sure
  23. Ken, The bike looks awesome. I see you removed the exhaust crossover already. Mulling over losing mine. Tim
  24. I was wondering who picked up that Cafe Sport. You jumped on that pretty fast !
  25. For anyone looking to get a late model, 2004, with all the good bits on. Look at this link http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=76421.msg1202595#msg1202595 Titled 'Re awakening a stored Cafe Sport'
