    machining the top clamp

From the album: 2001 v11 SP

this ended up being about 15 hours of machining when it was all said and done. not like on those café racer tv shows...
  3. will do. I remember you mentioning a bike in Arizona you thought I should check out, what was that again?
  4. haha!
  5. Awesome job! Is the muffler welded to the end of the pipe, or did you make it removable?
  6. docc, never seen that one, it's awesome! this is a low res version of the De Tomaso eagle. gstallons, I design stuff in cad and have them output by a 3D printing service.
  7. I am going to 3D print some out of stainless steel with the "stick figure" De Tomaso eagle, maybe also some with the MOTO GUZZI logo type. I'll post pics, and will make some for anyone who is interested.

    EBC contoured rear rotor

From the album: 2001 v11 SP

This is the rotor made by EBC for the v11. Direct bolt on, correct diameter so no mods necessary to the brake pads or the position of the caliper. Weighs 200 grams less than the stock rotor, and slightly less expensive too.
  11. Weird that it doesn't exist in gold... I'm searching, will post if I find it. In the meatime, here's on in the UK on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CAGIVA-MITO-125-FRONT-BRAKE-MASTER-CYLINDER-WITH-LEVER-1992-/221177222268?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item337f30947c&vxp=mtr These mc's were also fitted on these bikes: Cagiva Mito 2 1992-1993 Cagiva Mito Euro 2 2004 Cagiva Mito EV 1994-2003 Cagiva Mito EV 6 Marce 1999-2000 http://www.oppracing.com/product_display/30760-brembo-oe-front-brake-master-cylinder-ps13-black-without-reservoir-wlever50/ Good luck!
  12. If you need a 13mm mc, check out the link I posted above.
  13. These guys have tons of Brembo stuff, including the "Goldline" masters, calipers and rotors: http://www.oppracing.com/ Here is the page for OE brembo front mc's: http://www.oppracing.com/category/1011-oe-front-brake-master-cylinders/ This one is 1mm smaller than ours, which I believe is 16mm: http://www.oppracing.com/product_display/30777-brembo-oe-front-brake-master-cylinder-psc15-gold-without-reservoir-wlever49-reg/ If that's still too much, this one has a 13mm piston: http://www.oppracing.com/product_display/32311-brembo-oe-mc-ps13-black-without-reservoir-wlever50/ You could paint it gold... They even include blueprint spec sheets on most everything, the one above for example: http://www.oppracing.com/images/cmsuploads/Brembo/OEM_Schematics/oppracing%2010-5053-53%20brembo.pdf so you can check to see piston diameters and select one with a smaller bore. They have been a great resource for me with all my reconfigurations, and one customization I haven't shared with the forum yet hehe...
  14. Ordered a 50" braided AN -3 hose, with swivel hose ends, the one for the mc with a 90° bend in it, and two metric to AN adapters. The swivels should make it easier to fit the line. On our stock line, the fittings are crimped on meaning you have to turn the whole line to screw/unscrew it from the slave, and then you have to twist the line to get the banjo on the other end to line up with the mc.
  15. yes, cm. that was a typo, fixed it mine was zip tied to the wiring harness on the right side of the spine. kind of a pain to get it out.
  16. The fitting that goes into the Grimeca slave is M10 x 1.00 x 15. The line itself is ~110cm. All kinds of markings on it, metric and SAE. Only one I remember now is 3mm. Assuming that might be the inside diameter? What is the best wy to route it?
  17. This is looking great! What else do you have planned? Only thing I would suggest would be a sleeker front fender maybe... Congratulations on the conversion, it's so clean it looks like it came from the factory that way!
  18. SCole, your bike is looking better and better all the time! I got my pillion seat cover painted red, just fitted it last night. Really love it, thanks again for the inspiration. Going to paint my passenger peg brackets black too, love how that makes them disappear.
  19. Lucky Phil, I have good news for you. I will be in touch tomorrow via private message.
  20. Yeah, it's the coolest.
  21. invest in your balls! and check em early, check em often.
  22. That bike (or I guess trike) in La Strada, is in fact a 1945 Sertum Motocarro 500. Also very cool. http://cybermotorcycle.com/gallery/sertum/Sertum_Motocarro_500.htm Apparently these were a thing back then. Here is a Benelli version: http://progress-is-fine.blogspot.com/2014/01/motocarro-benelli.html
  23. job is already done. used ceramic hybrid wheel bearings from Worldwide Bearings. I don't remember the part number either, will post back later. EDIT: The bearing I used have part code CB-6205-2RS. CB means ceramic balls, 6205 is the generic size code, 2RS means two rubber seals.
  24. don't worry docc, I have lots of zip ties, jb weld and duct tape on hand, nothing is gonna collapse.
