  2. Lots of things have gone up 75% or more, why I wonder? DonG
  3. Check the valve lash, if you find it larger than normal perhaps a cam lobe is going round. DonG
  4. So sad, that was a party I was wanting to attend. DonG
  5. I shod mine with some kind of Shinko sport bike tyre, 90% of my riding is pavement. DonG
  6. About the only month that you can count out snow happening is July, perhaps riding across Canada should be left until a little later in the season like late May or June.... DonG
  7. Depending on the spring, you may or may not freeze your nuts off crossing the prairies, the mountain passes are a whole other story, perhaps swinging south would be a good idea. Good luck! DonG

Does the odometer need to be working? I have one my 2004 Café Sport, speedo reads fine just wont add up mileage, I have a new speedo to replace it. Let me know. DonG
  12. I have found that the fuel nowadays has no shelf life, it could be as simple as that, the shite wont ignite. DonG
  13. The lifts from Princess Auto are good quality, used to have two choices, foot pump or pneumatic. I took the clamp system off and installed a chock, much better now. DonG
  14. Bring on that pie! I have one similar on my Cafe Sport, different muffler. I run it with out the DB killer, sounds good, dont know if it affected HP or not, give it a try whats to loose? DonG
  15. Looks like GPR. DonG
  16. Changing out the washers will not even be noticed, they will have no descernable effect on anything. I would just flip them over and carry on. Oil pessure relief valve should be inspected as well as sump gaskets as there may be a leak there which could be the culprit(cavitation). DonG
  17. I never bother to check the level in any of my Guzzi,s between changes, what for? DonG
  18. OOOpppsss! If it is not I meant, Sorry DonG

  21. Motrhead: No problem, I am working on getting them all under one roof! That Helicopter Jim dude wanted to see the collection too, hopefuly we can start a Guzzi get together out on the bald arse praries sometime next summer, what would be the interest in that I wonder? DonG
  22. Yeah! Nothing better to do, we get approx. 6 or so months of winter here, need an indoor hobby! I buy and restore them, also have quite a few modern ones as well, even bought a couple new. Was heavy into Brit bikes and 1940's HD. Cleared that stuff out during a divorce and started anew with Moto Guzzi, nothing else like them. DonG
  23. At the risk of being called a Horder again and having an intervention, I will say that other than the 21 Guzzis I posess, I do have an 1967 BSA Lightning and a Triumph Tina T10 scooter. DonG
  24. If you want the shiny stainless fasteners a gold colour, just warm them up with a propane torch! Use pliers to hold them of course! DonG
  25. Really? Just hop on and go? Better look it over first, I bought a1978 G5 a couple of years ago, did a bunch of service work to it, supposedly was just built, did not bother checking the wheel bearings. BIG mistake! Buddy who ever did the wire wheel conversion did not install the bearing spacer! 80MPH failure of the front wheel bearing one day! I even take brand new from the store Guzzis apart and go over everything before using them, who knows who did what or didnt do what? I wont risk my life and happiness on trusting someone elses word on its ok its only got 6000 miles or its new what can go wrong? DONG
